SOURCE: clean out bottom

Hi .. turn the toaster upside down. There should be an access door there to allow you to clean out the bottom of the toaster.

SOURCE: How do I clean inside the toaster? Not just the

You can't clean the inside without a real possibility of damaging the element(s). Hold it upside down over the sink or outside and shake to remove all the stubborn bits. If you poke around inside you will most likely damage it. If you decide to ignore my advice then don't forget to DISCONNECT it first or you risk electric shock!

I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.

The lower element has gone out and the top broiler element is all I have. The using will be four years old in January 2014. I need a replacement element to take to my small appliance repairman.

1)you must test the lower elements with multimeter, using the resistance, and test it,2) see if there are some wires frozen and repair or replace,3) clean and readjust the solenoid for dirty, or oxide,

God bless you

The left side of my toaster dosn't work

It's probably one of two things:1) They pressure contacts that engage the electromagnet may have burnt carbon deposits similar to spark plugs. One needs to clean in between the contact (two on each side) while putting slight pressure as the contacts meet.2) The spring mechanism that engages these contacts has snapped at the securing point, thus not able to put enough pressure to engage these contacts that power the electromagnet.
For some reason it's always the left side.
If the toaster is more than 5 years old I would suggest buying a new on , even though these toasters are very reliable. As the crumbs that left inside are so powdery and coats every surface inside, as well.

Fan works timer works but no heat

There is no fuse. Take back cover off and all bottom perimeter screws. Outside cover pulls off towards rear once you get all the ** little screws out. Chances are you will find burned connections on the heating elements poking out the sides of the heating chamber. Try cleaning these and squeeze them tighter before reconnecting. Good luck!
