Your Television is going into the protection mode. This is usually caused by some component failure. You can call Best Buy customer support at this telephone number 1-888-237-8289. They may have in house service for in warranty products. You can also call the Insignia customer support at this telephone Number 1-877-467-4289. The Insignia customer support website is www.insignia-products.com. Go to the customer support section and tell them the model number of your television and ask them for help. You should be able to get help from these sources as they will have all the correct service information for your television. I hope this information helps you with your problem.

I have an Insignia NS-LCD37 was working perfectly fine, all of a sudden the TV went black, I would turn the TV on and you would get the

Most likely you have a fault in the back light circuit. To verify this, turn on the set, when the screen goes black, take a bright flashlight and shine it on the screen. It may be easier to dim the lights in the room so that you can see the faint image on the screen. If you see the faint image, you indeed have a back light problem. You will need to get a diagnoses performed on the set to track down the problem

Insignia? 37 720p Flat Panel LCD HDTV will not

Power-cycle the unit (turn it off and unplug for several minutes). If you're unable to power the unit on successfully, the TV probably requires repairs. In home service can be obtained by calling 1-888-237-8289 in the U.S. or 1-866-237-8289 in Canada.

Insignia 37" goes into standby mode

I am experimenting with Insignia's and there is a feature whereby if a signal is not detected the TV will switch to standby mode (in about 10 - 15 minutes). It's documented as a tiny "note" in the manual under "Understanding the basics - Turning TV on or off"

I don't know if the TV resumes when the signal is restored or if you need to power on manually.

You are probably experiencing a glitch with the signal or the TV thinking the signal is not there. Are you watching a clear picture when this happens? I would first check to see if the signal is too weak (like using a signal booster). If that is not the case, it's probably the TV acting up.

I hope this helps.

Is this

37' LCD won't turn on (or off)

It is probably the main board or the power supply board. Neither one is cheap to fix.

THe screnn on my 37 in insignia from best buy screen went blank

Find a local service center in your area that services televisions and ask them how much they charge for checking out your television and telling you what wrong with it. If you find the prices too high keep trying until you find one you can live with. You can get parts for the television on the Best Buy parts website. You just have to put in the model number and the parts finder will show you all the available parts for the model and their prices. The telephone for the Insignia customer service is : 1-877-467-4289. The number for the Best Buys parts is : 1-888-237-8289. Hope this helps you with your problem.

Insignia lcd 37''powering off and right back on by itself!

Hi Ed,
Since the TV is less then a year old and still under manufacturers warranty, I would suggest to take back to the vendor to get it fix because this LCD behavior is not going to get any better.
The failure on this TV is related to a power supply in most cases if the TV is turning OFF by itself or needs to be unplug to let cooldown and it works afterward.

This unit is going into protection mode due to some erratic voltages causing the feedback circuit to activate the protection mode. This could be caused by aging components and overheating. You should take this unit in for service by Best Buy if it is still under warranty. If not you must try to have someone test and repair it for repair it for you. Try calling Insignia Customer service and find a service center in you area to take it to for evaluation. The Insignia customer service Number is 1-877-467-4289 The number for Best Buy parts is 1-888-237-8289.Most likely you or a service center will be doing the repair and the numbers above should come in handy. Best Buy also has a parts website, all you have to do is put in the brand name of the television and the model number and its parts finder will list all available parts and their prices. You Can also try MCM parts, they have a website that works the same way for parts and prices. Their telephone number for customer service is : 1-877-626-3532. Hope This helps you with your problem.

Insignia nsr2000 on/off problem.

had the same problem... turns out the copper on my red and black speaker wire (on the speaker, not receiver end) was touching - causing my receiver to go to standby (self-preservation probably lol). i pulled the wires further apart so the copper ends weren't touching and that solved it.

No picture

Try a hard restart, which simply means unplugging the power cord, and replugging it after 4 hours have passed. This technique helps to reprogram the electronics, to a certain extent. ( Turning it off and on again by a switch will not work). If the picture does not return, then you might need the expertise of a TV repairman.
