Go to the website for ASRock and type in the exact numbers for your Intel 945PL based Motherboard. Being an older Motherboard, my guess would be no more than 1 Gig strip per socket, with the possibility of 512M

I have ASUS x5dc. I have installed windows 7 64 bit. Can i change OS?. My laptop is very slow.

Windows 7 is a very good operating system. But, the laptop may have a slow processor. Try to see if you can upgrade the processor to a core 2 duo or above. Also, try to upgrade or increase the memory to 2 gigabytes or above to 4 gigabytes if possible. The computer is guaranteed to speed up with memory and processor upgrades. Also, try to upgrade the hard disk drive to a SSD or Solid State Drive and you will see awesome speed.

I have a ACEer 5315 model no ICL50 running Windows Vista. To say Vista is **** is an understatement. I want to switch to Windows 7 but guess I will need a lot more RAM for this. Can I upgrade Ram on this...

Hi,
I recommend that you switch to Windows 7 without upgrading your RAM. Windows 7 is a lot faster, better and uses less RAM than Vista. Recommended RAM for running Windows 7 is 1GB but I have installed them on a Centrino 1.5GHz with 768Mb of RAM and they run perfectly.
So make the upgrade to Windows 7 anyway and if you feel that you need more power then you can get more RAM.
Also, download Windows 7 upgrade advisor to check if your pc is compatible. Download upgrade advisor here.

My Acer Aspire ONE has trouble shooting. I have the software for boosting it from a flash memory, but I dont remember the procedure

Step 1 - Download and install the Windows based HP USB Disk Format Tool. For your convenience, you can download it from HERE.
Step 2 - Download the Windows 98 system files from HERE. This is a zip file that contains all of the system files that you will need. Create a new folder and extract these files into the folder that you just created. Make sure that you preserve the directory structure.
Step 3 - Insert the USB Memory Key into the USB port of your computer.
NOTE: Make sure that the lock/unlock switch (if present) is set to the unlock position. USB MEM KEY 1
Step 4 - Launch the HP format tool program.
Under the device drop down list, make sure that the USB memory key is selected. USB MEM KEY 2 Step 5 - Under the file system drop down list, select FAT32. This is important to do correctly. USB MEM KEY 3
Step 6 - Check the box next to Create a DOS startup disk.
Select "using DOS system files located at:
Then click on the square box with 3 dots on it. USB MEM KEY 4 Step 7 - Browse to the folder that you extracted the Win98 system files and then click on the OK button. USB MEM KEY 5 Step 8 - Now click the Start button. USB MEM KEY 6 Step 9 - You will receive a warning message. Make sure you have the USB memory key selected. If you are sure, then click the Yes button. USB MEM KEY 7
Step 10 - Your USB memory key is now being formated and the DOS system files will be copied onto it.
Once the program has completed the operation, click on the Close button.
You now have a bootable USB memory key. USB MEM KEY 8 On the USB memory key, you will see these files. These are the basic Win98 system files. USB MEM KEY 9

Vista 32 Bit verses 64 Bit

Before you jump in and upgrade make sure your computer system is 64 bit ready otherwise it wont work at all....upgrading memory is never a bad thing will actually speed up things from running and will have a better response time....windows 7 does not require 64 bit but it desired if possible....

What's max mem size for ipaq 1950

Mem cards are added as storage cards and do not add up to your iPaq RAM.

You can use mem cards to add up space to install applications. (ie. it is something similar to installing a new Harddrive on your PC). However the physical RAM of your iPaq cannot be extended.

PocketPC programs have small RAM requirements so your PDA's built-in RAM will suffice.

As far as the maximum card size if I understood your question right, if your iPaq comes with Windows Mobile v5 or earlier, it supports SD cards up to 2GB and perhaps some non SDHC standard SD cards up to 4GB. If you can upgrade to WM6, then WM6 supports SDHC cards, so you can install >4GB cards.

Hope this helps.
