Why is water leaking from the bottom of the the washing machine?could the drum be to full?

It could be a bad tub seal, hole in a hose, or even the drain pump.
I would need your model number to be able to tell you how to check these parts.

We've got a Hotpoint Aquarias extra 1300 spin washer - had it for about 7 years. It has suddenly started leaking water from underneath (ie not from the pipes going in or out of the machine). Does this...

Hello, if its leaking from underneath the chances are there is a hole in the drum due to a coin damaging the plastic after getting trapped between the steel dum and the plastic outer drum. you would need a new drum only maybe try ebay for around £30 then a good diyer could do for you or expect to pay around £40 to remove old one and fit replacement

Whirlpool lsr7233dqo will not stop filling up in wash and rinse cycle, cold water does not shut off compleatly.

Check the clear plastic hose that runs from the pressure sensor to the bottom of the drum. If it is not secured away from the drum or other parts of the washer it'll rub against the metal and wear a hole in the tube. It only needs a tiny hole and the hose won't hold pressure and tell the sensor that the tub is filled. One way to test is to take the host off completely and blow into it while stoppering the other end. You'll probably hear the leak but if you don't you can drape the hose in water and the bubbles will tell you where the leak is. Either replace the hose or cut the hose at the hole and buy an coupling that you can insert between both ends. Just make sure that it is airtight. If the hose is good...the presure sensor itself may be bad.

Water leaking from bottom Sears Model

Most likely the water pump go to this web sitte to get the parts price and break down on the macine for repairing. you need to raise the washer to be able to see exactly where it's commming from I use a 2x4 to or 2x6 to raise the front of the waser up far enoght to see where the water is comming from and use a flash light. be sure to stay out of the water while it is running or unplug it altogether if it leaks plugged in or not, then use the flashlight to find the leak. be arare it could be the hose or the tub seal as well and that water travels. Use you hand to feel excatly where the wter is comming from. the web site is http://www.applinacepros.com. If you need more help just post to this answer to get more help.

Water still leaking

Look at and examine the door seal closely for any sign of a hole or tear in it.
If none is visible then it could be the clamp or spring that holds the seal to the drum front that is causing the prob..
Other than that , there could be a crack or hole in the container front.

It leaksYour washer can develop several types of leaks. You can track down a leak based on when it occurs:

During fill only
During drain and spin only
All the time

During fill only
If the washer leaks only during the fill cycle, check these:

Air-gap device -The air gap is a small device found on most washers that prevents the wash water from being siphoned into the household water supply. It's located either mid-way along or at the end of the black rubber hose that comes from the water-inlet valve. Often it's made of translucent plastic. If one of the air-gap components deforms or cracks, you may need to replace it.

The tube -There's a rubber tube that runs between the water-inlet valve and either the air-gap or the inlet spout. If it cracks or breaks, it can cause a leak.

Inlet spout -Most washers have a plastic spout near the top of the main clothes tub that directs the water into the tub. If the spout cracks or breaks free of its mounting, it can cause a leak.

During drain and spin only
A washer that leaks only during the spin cycle often has a leak in the main drain hose. Inspect the entire hose and correct any problem you find. Alternatively, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. This may be most visible during large loads and high water levels. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details.

All the time
If the washer leaks all the time, check these:

Hot and cold water fill hoses - Check the hot and cold water hoses from the household plumbing. If either hose is leaking, tighten it or replace it, as appropriate.

Main tub seal - The main tub seal is located between the transmission and the outer tub. It's the primary water seal in the outer tub for the transmission-shaft entry point. If this seal leaks, you can see the leak by opening up the machine's main access panel while the machine is full of water with a small amount of detergent in it. The leak appears at the underside of the outer tub, at or near the center. This seal is difficult to replace. You probably should call a qualified appliance repair technician.

Pump - If the pump leaks, you can probably spot the leak when the tub is full of water. The pump has two or more black rubber or plastic hoses attached to it and usually has a drive belt that spins the pump. If the pump is leaking, you need to replace it.

Outer tub - Over time, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details.
