Most likely cheaper to replace than repair. The labor cost for such a fiddly repair would be more than a new unit.

An FM transmitter is a portable device, which converts a specific audio output into an FM radio signal. It can be plugged into a CD player, satellite radio system, headphone jack, or a portable media player. One common use of an FM transmitter is to play music from an Mp3 player through the speakers of a car.

When i use a cassette adapter to try and play a portable cd it switches back and forth from side i to side 2 and then ejects the tape. On the adapter it says to keep the player set on side 1 but it doesn't...

You can't do anything about that. If you want to play cd on your car stereo, the best thing to do is use an FM transmiter. They can be bought for about 20 bucks. They plug into the cd player headphones, and you tune your radio to its frequency.

Accessories for SMPK8854B mp3 touch

Buy yourself an FM transmitter. This plugs into the cigarette lighter and the MP3 player. You set an FM station on the transmitter. Place your radio on that station, if you have your player on you will hear music. You may need to adjust the volume. The easiest way is to turn the volume all the way up on the player. (Just remember to turn it down before you listen again with headphones.) This should solve your problem.

FM tuner?

Separate product - listening to mp3's through your car radio is the most complicated and most expensive option; cheapest is a casette adapter if your car has a casette player, or a cd adapter for cd player - one end will plug into headphone jack of Sansa player. Best Buy has the widest selection of adapters. I would get the type of adapter that plugs into the headset - wired. Wireless adapters are "neat," but unreliable (and expensive).

How can I connect it to the "Front Games and mp3 Inputs

Leah, if you go to wal-mart, you can buy an adapter cord that will plug into the headphone jack of your mp3 player and then plug into your stereo to play your mp3's through it. It looks like a headphone jack on both ends. Cost is approx 3-5 dollars.
