Heat runs constantly - GE Zoneline AZ55H07D Air Conditioner

This could be due to either an open safety switch such as a rollout or high limit, or the relay could be welded inside the control board constantly sending 120 volts to the blower motor. A less common cause could be a bad thermostat which can be verified by removing the face plate. If the blower stops, then the thermostat will need to be replaced.

When you set your thermostat to auto, it will automatically shut off when it reaches the temperature you set it at. I personally set mine on auto because I don’t want it to run constantly. This will save you money on your gas or electric bill. The blower will run constantly if you set your thermostat in the on position.

Should like your unit is working fine unless this is constantly happening. If this is a constant thing then condenser coil if dirty,check thermostat setting

It could be a thermostat problem. Also it will seem to run constantly as it tries to heat and one of the elements are working which could be a sequencer problem.

you hit reset on thermostat or control module?

could be a heat sequencer. if the stat was bad it would run constantly in both modes.

If your unit is running constantly in heat and cool and it shuts off when you turn the thermostat off, you're probably low on refrigerant.

make sure out door unit is running not just the fan out side should hear compressor and in heating mode the large copper line should be hot fan should be in auto position on stat hope this helps

depending on the model; if the timer is in the automatic cycle it will not advance if there is no heat, it must heat in order to satisfy a thermostat to tell the timer to advance this is what makes it automatic. If the timer gets to the end of the timed cycle and will not advance to off, sounds like a bad resistor connected to the timer, I would first check the heat circuit to find out why its not heating. Dont mean to complicate, but everything in the dryer has something to do with heating, element,thermostats, temp switch, timer and even the motor. Check for burnt wires at the terminal block for the cord. hope this helps.....
