Question about KitchenAid Kude48Fxss Dishwasher

Open Question

Unit fills to a point and turns off

I cleaned out filter(not much in there) and then drained the unit from underneath. It started to work again until it filled to the level it had stopped before. It shut its self down again.

Well, it is working now. I had reset the breaker and then drained the unit. It failed at the same point. After draining 2 more times and it stopping at the same place. I drained it a 4th time and THEN reset the breaker. It seems to be working

SOURCE: Kitchenaid dishwaser poor cleaning KUDS24SE

There are 2 likely candidates. The first is the chopper - the device that grinds up the food. The second is the check valve - a rubber flapper that sets to the right of the chopper. Over time it becomes stuck open which reduces pressure at the spray arms.

Good luck - I had the same issue on my KUDR01J.

SOURCE: unit doesn't clean well. Is it normal to find

Yes some water is normal.

Replace the water supply valve under the sink and water supply line to dishwasher.
Over time minerals deposit in the valve and restrict the water flow to the dishwasher.
This is especially inportant on todays water saving units.
Many people replace an old dishwasher and hate the new unit due to a white film left on dishes.

Although you may have paid for a professional installation a new shut off valve is almost never replaced even though the waterline may have been at an additional cost to you..

During spin cycle the drum fills with water and spinning slows or stops completely. I will then switch machine off and on again. Then it drains only for a little while b4 above start again. Plz help

Hi

Do u drain it 1st before u switch it off? If u just keep switching it off and on again there will be more water than usual which will probably slow the spinning down.

Drain the machine

Remove or open the vent at the bottom of the machine
Get a towel and a large baking tray or something similar

Place the towel underneath the vent and the tray to catch the water
Turn the filter slowly until u see water coming out, when the water slows down pull the filter out.
Clean out whatever is in there and replace the filter

see if this works?

Cooling gas is missing. Call some AC service in near to fill it, ask more of them for price. Do not switch it on until you solve this to prevent higher damage.

FH IS FLASHING ON THE WASHER AND IT HAD STOPPED WORKING ONLY 5 MNUTES INTO ITS CYCLE

Hello,

The FH error code means the computer on the control board didnt detect any water entering the washer..sometimes it doesnt detect the water entering because the filter screens on the water inlet valve are clogged with sediment and water is having a hard time entering the washer.

The filter screens can be checked by turning off water at the faucets and disconnecting the fill hoses from the back of the machine and pop the scrrens out of where the hoses connect at the washer and check for blockage in them. If they are found to be clean check the water coming out of the hoses before connecting them back to the washer...if the screens are clean and water pressure is good out of the hoses the part of the washer called the FLOW METER would need to be replaced

Where do I find the transmission filter on a Mazda 2002 MPV

On the bottom of the transmission will be a transmission pan plater with maybe 8 or 10 bolts holding it on. The transmission filter us underneath that plate. When you refill the transmission you will want to use Dexron/Mercon IV fluid.
To change the filter (and gasket) they should come as a set.
  1. Put a pan under the transmission as you will loose two quarts maybe a little more.
  2. Loosen the bolts starting with the bolt farthest from you working your way evenly back.
  3. Soon fluid will start to drain. Let it drain as it goes. Give it a little time before continuing.
  4. When you get to the last bolt or two hold the pan firm while removing the bolts and lean the pan away from you and empty the pan of all fluid.
  5. Now remove the two screws holding the transmission filter in place and pull down on the filter.
  6. Now you want to clean the inside of the pan real good. Brake clean to soap and water will work.
  7. Dry the pan real real good. Should be almost shinny.
  8. Now place the new filter where the old one was removed from.
  9. Now line the gasket up on the pan and set it against the transmission.
  10. Get a start on a few of the bolts so the pan will stay put.
  11. As you tighten the rest of the bolts you will want to tighten cross ways. Like you would a wheel.
  12. Now you will want to refill the transmission fluid to proper level. Your manual will tell you the exact amount but for this car two quarts would be a good starting point.
  13. Now start the car and look underneath the car and inspect for leaks.
  14. Now put your foot on the brake and just shift your vehicle into every gear a couple times. All the way down then all the way up. This fills the pockets.
  15. Now put the emergency brake on and put the car into neutral and check the fluid. Adjust accordingly. Mind the area on the dipstick for a "cold check" as the transmission will still be cool at this point.
Regards, Tony

Dish washer won't kick into wash mode . heating elements work, water filled up in bottom of dishwasher and won't drain. All buttons work but won't wash dishes

First check you float valve.

Look inside the machine on the floor will be a small float valve. Looks like a small upside down cup. Lift it and clear anything from underneath.

The valve is a safety feature to stop the machine from over filling. If anything gets under the valve it will jam open and stop the machine.

Not working?

Check for a clog internal or external.

Scoop as much water our as you can. Open the cover on the floor of the machine. Usually just turns and lifts out or snaps out some are screwed in. Take your time and try not to force anything. Look for a clog there.

Check for clog in the drain. The dishwasher will connect to the drain under your sink and run either directly to the drain or into your disposal unit. Remove open the connections and look for a clog. Clear if necessary.

Not the clog?

Water is pumped out by the machine via an internal pump located under the base. If it fails the water will collect until it trips the float valve. First scoop out all the water from the machine and run it again. If water comes in and it runs to the point it fills again and trips the float then either the pump or timer is faulty.

Pump check.

Remove the machine. It will be held in place by screws directly into the counter top. You may have to lower it to get it out. The front feet turn with a wrench to lower.

Turn off the water supply. Run the unit again until you get to the drain cycle.

Connect a test light or voltage tester to the terminals at the pump. Check for voltage at the pump. If you have voltage replace the pump. If no voltage the timer is faulty.

Timer problem?
Some can be replaced as a unit others are integral to the control panel. Turn style can be replaced. Touch control can not.

GE Nautilus dishwasher isn't draining... PLEASE HELP

Check floater valve.

Inside the unit. On the floor. Looks like and small upside down cup.

If it is jammed in the up position it will stop the machine. Lift, clean underneath. It should drop and the machine will run.

The float valve stops the machine from over filling.

Could also be clog in the drain filter. Remove the cover from the drain inside the unit. look for clog in the filer of the drain.

If none of the above it is the timer. The timer tells the unit what to do (fill, run, empty). If it is not working the drain function will not run.

How do I change oil filter

open the pan bolt on oil pan and drain all the oil.reinstall pan bolt. it is a 5/8 6 point socket,or 5/8 wrench.then you need an oil filter wrench.turn counterclockwise looking at the bottom of the filter.make sure the gasket is attached to the filter.,and not still on the car....install the new filter, putting a layer of oil on the gasket first.tighten till contact, then one turn.do not overtighten .fill with 3 litres and check the stick. keep adding until the full mark. start the car and let run 10 seconds, look underneath and make sure it is not leaking.
let sit 2 minutes and check again.the filter uses about 300ml,so top up til full and your'e done.
wipe up any excess around the pan bolt and filter.

Won't complete the cycle

Try using a quick cycle and see what happens. Don't use sanitize or any extra heat cycle. Sometimes during sanitize high temp rinse or other cycles the timer motor is stopped until the water heats up. The sensor could be defective. Not all machines do this and I'm not real familiar with your particular one.
