2001 ducati 750ss wont start

Battery is new and fully charged.I had it tested. Problem started as hesitation/ lazy turnover when start button pressed.. a few starts later a pop could be heard but No engine turn over.. a few attempts later a single click with each push of start button.. Click seemed to come from a small circular part to which the battery wires attached..wires leave that circular part and attach to what appears to be the starter.. Also there is normaly a sound like electrical buzz lasting about 2 seconds when ignition is turned to on and Run switch is in the On position. That buzz is now absent .The click described above has also stopped. the lights do come on, except the 'neutral' indicator. She is now completely silent. Felt like a fast but gradual death. Regulator is working.tested that. I have rolled/pop the clutch to start it and she stays on. What can i do here. help

Check the electrical connection to your starter. it could be corroded and not making good enough connection. you can try a wire from your positive on your battery to your starter and see if the starter cranks and starts. if so, it's just a bad connection on your starter cable. I have a 2001 750 SS and had the same problem.

Try a weak link on the stand disabler connection, male to male or disconect and link, should engage injectors [ the strange noise]

Does it start and run when you jump start it? if so, you probable need a higher cranking battery. sounds like the battery isnt powerfull enough.

2001 Ducati 750ss - Bike suddenly won't start, battery is good, and I can run with my bike and drop it into 1st gear to start it, but when I click the starter button, it just clicks...starter or "

Check to make sure you are getting 12v to the starter when you hit the start button. If you are, then yes,...most likely the starter is toast. But if youre not,..then check all fuses and the starter relay.
