No it is not "safe" to use car seats after the dates printed on the back for simple issues such as wear and tear, weakening in the restraints, and just older designs that have been reinforced upon since thhat particular car seat was manufactured. I am a mother of three with two still in car seats and I would not suggest using the car seat. Also, if you have a used seat or plan on buying used make sure it is from a trusted source for the simple reason you do not want to use a seat that has been in an accident. In the state of Ga, it is actually against the law to use a seat that has been invovled in an accident.

One month old should not be in a car seat that allows for upright sitting. If it is convertible you have it in wrong. The seat should have a base unit which should be firmly fastened and the carrier should snap in and out of this base allowing you to carry your infant to and from the vehicle without having to detach the base every time you exit the vehicle. This is done so to prevent the unsafe installation of car seat under the stresses of time. If you seat is the kind that does not have a permanent base, go get one. It is very important that you do not modify the installation of any car seat for any reason. Placing a towel under the base as a barrier between the base and your seat is acceptable, but not to raise or lower the front or back as this may compromise its' design and decrease its' effectiveness. If you cannot figure it out, go to your local State Police Barracks where in most states they have a pregame designated for the safe installation of child infant seat carriers. This is very serious. The proper installation and choice in infant carriers can mean the difference of life and death in case of a relatively minor accident.

The car seat for baby has very short harness straps. Where can I order an extantion for harness straps?

There is no such thing as an extension for a carseat harness - it would be unsafe. The carseat harness has ample length for your child but will require extending as per the user manual to fit around the child safely.

Thought I knew the 4 number combination, now locked inside. I do have the key. However, safe not opening. What is the exact procudure for combo?

Without wishing to state the obvious, I feel that I must do so. A safe is called a safe for a very good reason. If it was easy to get inside without the correct key or combination then by definition it would be unsafe.

If you have lost the combination and the key doesn't work then you can either try every combination until you get lucky or you must consider calling out a locksmith who will usually open the safe destructively (often by drilling out the lock) or even by using an angle grinder on the hinges.

Need to move front passenger seat much further back

the only way to do this is to take the seat out remove it from the rails take the rails to a machine shop and have them weld on extensions for the seat to slide on. you will also have to remove the rear seat stop so it will go further back and have them make catches in the extension for the seat to catch onto.

Load thump when turn/cuts off when getten ready to take off

Contact your state's attorney general's office, and file a consumer complaint, you may be surprised as to how quickly they will respond.I don't know the law for your state, but here in Washington it's illegal for a dealer to sell a vehicle that is unsafe for the road, and they are required to bring the vehicle to safe driving condtion or they have to sell it as parts or salvage which the dealer is required to disclose to the buyer by law.I hope this information helps

Fuel pump and back seat replacement

You don't necessarily need a hoist, however it would be more convenient. If you are able to get the car off the ground a couple of feet and support it with jack stands, you can safely remove the tank and pump.
Good luck.

I have an Alpha Omega that I bought 3 years ago. The phone number is 1-800-544-1108 but I dislike waiting so let me know what you need to know and I'll help as best as I can. I don't think the carseats change very often.

The "experts" say that it isn't a good idea to use a carseat if it's more than 10 years old.

Hope I helped.
