Question about Nintendo Wii Console

Wii remote not working

When we turn on the wii everything looks right but we can't get an arrow to show up so we can select the game on the main screen that we want to play. We changed the batteries in the remotes and rebooted the system. It worked last night and didn't work this evening when turned on.

Dont know how to connect to the enternet

Okay, To connect to the internet on a Wii: -You will need some kind of wireless connection -If it has a password, you will need to know that too. Assuming you have these two things, 1. Power on your Wii console and press the A Button on the Wii Remote to reach the Wii main menu. Use the Wii Remote to select the "Wii" button. 2. Now, select "Wii Settings" to access the "Wii System Settings" menu. 3. Using the arrow on the right side of the screen, scroll to the next page and select "Internet." 4. Select "Connection 1: None" 5. Click on "Wireless Connection" and then "Search for an Access Point." 6. Select "OK" and the Wii will display all the wireless networks it finds. 7. Select the wireless network that is yours 8. Select "OK," "Save Settings," and then "Yes." 9. Now, a few things can happen here:
It will either work, or it will NOT work, and you will get an error message, and you probably typed the password (if there is one) in wrong

My console turns on via remote. I can push the left and right arrows but I am unable to select anything on the main menu. I have changed batteries, and tried different remotes. No change. Any suggestions?

Do you mean that no cursors appear on your screen? You most likely need a new sensor bar. The button presses are transmitted via wi-fi directly to the wii, but the wiimote's position relies on infrared transmission to the sensor bar.

Wii Remotes can turn on but no arrows.

I had the same problem. When I looked at my system, I noticed the sensor was turned sideways with my tv remote in front of it. When I turned my sensor around correctly, and moved my tv remote away from it, the arrows suddenly appeared! Make sure nothing is blocking your sensor!

Trying to install wii

I love the way this works - if everything is plugged in properly, the remote control will be detected by the sensor and you should see an arrow on the screen that you can move by physically moving the remote. Use this to point the arrow to "English", then click "A", then move it again to "confirm" (...or is it "OK"?).
