I dont think any propane was getting through. I.removed a tube,between gas inlet tube and a sort of gas control valve in back of unit,and found a small,white, filter like material inside this tube .Is That stuff suppose to be there and why?It seems to get cold during the evening, but starts to warms up as the day gets hotter.Does it cool according to the temperature outside?Do both the 120vac switch and 12vdc switch hav to be on when operating on 120vac? Does it alwys hav to be hooked up to 12vdc, if so why?Where can i get a manual and a diagram for this unit? I'd appreciate any help thank you john

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Dometic fridge
I would look for a ventilation problem. If the fridge is working at that level nothing wrong with electric. The unit needs air to move up and out the top to make the freezer work. It sounds like the air is only moving the wrong way out the lower vent. Careful it could just be a birds nest but it may be a large wasp nest blocking the roof opening.

You need a new cooling unit. That ammonia smell means that your heating unit is shot, needs to be replaced, and there are a coupla ways to go here.
1) Order up a rebuilt (or new) online, and replace it yourself. (Handyman skill level:fair.) $500.
2) Go to an RV repair shop and have that done $700.00 - $100.00
3) Buy a new fridge. $1000.00 ++

well thats normal mate you cannot prevent this ... perhaps try draging your fridge away from the wall so it sits about 100mm off the wall
