my ip4200 is consistently not printing colors correctly. i have now used both genuine and compatible cartridges and get the same result. it looks to me as if the magenta is not printing all my images are coming out green. i've tried all the suggestions, running the deep clean etc nothing seems to have worked if anything its got slightly worse.

-   Same here with pinkish-hue. I have changed all the cartridges, cleaned and deep cleaned, but seems to get worse ! I also get a striped background !?!-   mcrobin324

-   same problem. All colors not printing with a definite green tint to all. Sometimes overall pinkish hue. Used original and compatible cartridges, no change. Lots of deep cleaning, no change. we bought this one because our i560 was having color problems. it prints stripes thru all the color.-   Housemom

Check the printer driver. I had the same problems - b+w with green tints, colors not rigt.  I'm using a Mac, but noticed that under the Color Matching options of the printer driver the default is "vendor matching" - switch to "ColorSync" and see if that works for you. Did for me.....
