Hello there. This is a problem that I've been having for almost a month now. I have a Westell 6100 gateway router and as you know, it only has 1 ethernet port. I have a Netgear rangemax wireless router for the sole purpose of my laptop. Here's my problem: I want to play xbox Live, and although it says I'm ''connected'' when I run the test while connected to my router, I can't play any games because I will get either ''the game has been canceled'' or something like that. When I connect the xbox cord directly into my westell router, I have no problems with gaming. What can I do to solve this problem? Should I call my isp and get a new modem/router with multiple ports so I can plug my xbox cord? Will that help? Also, I did the port forwarding stuff on my router too and it didn't help. I also found out about having my modem in bridge mode, but I figure another modem from my isp with extra ports would be easier. Unless any of you guys can give me another suggestion. I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

- I tried port forwarding, I called an xbox team and they have given me a list of ports to open on my router, but it didn't help. In fact, as stated on my original post, I CAN connect to Live while plugged up to my wireless router, I just can't play games with a certain friend. When I try to invite him, I get a message that the game is canceled or whatever. When the ethernet cord is plugged directly into my Westell modem, I have no problems playing any game I want on Live. I am sure all my NATS are opened with the help of Microsoft and Netgear, I just can't understand this weird problem of only being able to "play" on XBox Live with connection into my modem.
Again, I am connected to Live with a wireless router but I can't play Live games, but if I plug my cord into my modem, I am able to play Live games that way.
I also should point out that he has done the port forwarding too, so I honestly don't know what to do anymore.
