    Now that is interesting!

I'm curious how you measure the 350 degrees --- do you have or can you get an oven thermometer and try the following experiment...

We don't want to use the built in oven thermometer, but an 'independent' source.

Turn oven to 100 degrees or the lowest possible setting. Once the temp has stabilized, what does the independent source thermometer say.

Move it up to 200 degrees, stabilize and test

Move it to 300, stabilize and test

Move it 350 , stabilize and test

move it to 400,, stabilize and test

get really greedy here and move it to 450, stabilize and test

That experiment should point to the problem.... and probably the solution

SOURCE: Oven & broiler not heating on our Maytag

May be the heating coil is bust?
The control panel is in parallel usually so as long as the controls are getting power they will turn on. But if the coil is gone you wont get heat. If you want to try fixing it, you may need a multimeter, or a continuity tester.

Will not fully heat to temp setting; takes 2 min B4 gas ignition 2 heat.

Time for the gas valve to open fully can be a few minutes, I've seen them take up to 3 minutes to open, so its not unusual. Hoverer, the temp issue may be due to your burner's gas jets being clogged with ash, etc. Remove the burner and inspect, the holes or jets should be nice and clear, any clogged ones need to be opened use a safety pin or something similar to open, try no to make the hole any bigger then it is. You may also find it may light quicker since there will be less back pressure in the line once the jets are cleaned.

Oven set at 350 goes way higher

the oven sensor rod on the rear wall of the oven cavity is defective, remove screws holding it sometimes you can plug a new replacement sensor in from the front,if you can't then remove rear panel on the back of the oven to access the connector to replace it

I have a black Maytag Gas Range stove the oven wont heat up. The ignition what i think it is, is glowing but when I tap the bottom of the stove it will light. What part do I need and where can I get it....

This means a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I have a maytag MGR4452bdw gas oven. it will not heat up above 350 degs, what's wrong? please advise

first thing to check is the ignitor, remove the racks and remove the bottom inside floor,if anything else is there remove it so you can see the ignitor, set the oven to 350,if the ignitor glows but doesn.t ignite the flame in 40 seconds change out the ignitor, the reason why i say this is if the sensor or anything else would bring up an error code.hope this helps.

Oven takes approximately 35 minutes to heat up to 350 degrees.

if this is all the higher it heats, its one of 2 things, first the heating element could have a Hot-Spot on it somewhere(a dis-coloration) on the element and have a bubbly/pock marked area that ready to burn out and cont pass enough current to fully heat the element, number 2 it could be the thermocouple on the roof of the oven cavity that is bad and turning off heat before its to the heat you set,it looks like a long tube with a wire or smaller tube leading from it,its connected to the oven heat control and senses oven operating temp and cycles the heat on and off per your temp setting
