Disabling automatic lock when screen turns off?

Is there any way to keep from entering your password every time the screen turns off?  It's starting to get really annoying.

Hello, I was trying to set a password on my Blackberry 8520 when I locked iy phone it said cleaning history, then turned off. 3 Hours later it is still trying to turn on. I have taken the battery out...

Try to reset your blackberry password by entering wrong password 10 times, it will make your blackberry curve 8310 unlocked as well as your previous data will be erased. After your blackberry unlocked, you can setup new password for your phone.

How do you secure / password lock the HTC touch smartphone?

Quoted from page 211 of the user's manual:

Protect your device with a password
You can help keep your data more secure by requiring a password every time the device is turned on.
To set a device password
Tap Start > Settings, and then tap All Settings.
2. On the Personal tab, tap Lock.
3. Select the Prompt if device unused for check box, then specify the idle time before the device requires a password.
4. In the Password type box, select the type of password you would like to use.
Tip If your device is configured to connect to a network, use an alphanumeric password for increased security.
5. Enter the password in both the Password and Confirm boxes.
6. Tap OK. The next time the device is turned on, you will be prompted to enter your password.

How do I lock the handset

Start, settings, option 7 security, device lock and then tick "Prompt if device unused for " and then enter a unit of time, and then a value, and then a simple password, what this now does is locks your phone and then you have to enter password to unlock and use phone, but to answer a call just press the green button.
Then when you use your phone and you finish just hold down red button that ends call, this will lock phone instead of waiting for your timed value that you entered earlier.
Hope this helps.

Phone won't get pass verify new password

The issue may be with the caps lock, alt lock or number lock being turned on.

If this is the case you will see a small logo in the upper right hand of the balckberry.

You will need to successuly enter and verify a password in order to access this feature.

Password reset

If you forgot your password you can try guessing until 3-5 tries and if t locks there is a pin that can open it that came with your phone company, better yet call your phone manufacturer so they can walk you through the steps and give you codes as well
