Why does the water splash around the cup rather than stream out ?

Check the removable insert that pierces the K-Cups. It may be dirty from coffee residue and needs to be cleaned. The entire assembly turns and lifts out but be careful as the piercing needle is SHARP. After cleaning, try a new k cup and see if it works ok.

Keurig now works ok until cup is put in

If you mean the Keurig works without a K cup in it and dose not work with a k cup in it then you need to clean the k cup holder. Take a thin wire, I use a paper clip that has been straightened out. Inside the holder is the piercing pin with a hole down the middle where the coffee goes into your cup. Clean that hole out with the paper clip.

Keurig makes clicking sound but will not brew

The exit tube is clogged. Get a paper clip and straighten one end, pushing it up into the tube to clear the material out. The tube is the upper Pin Like projection that pierces the Kcup.

I pour water in and you hear it heating but wither nothing or just a few droplets come out...

When it says descale what is really happening is that the water can no longer pass through the needle that pierces the cup. Fix : Unplug the machine. Remove the reservoir set aside. Open the lid thingy handle and turn upside down. You will see the needle that pierces the cup. That needle also channels the water. Take a safety pin or smililar object, needle etc...and pass it through the opening of the needle several times. This removes the blockage from the needle (old coffee etc). My machine works like a champ now :)

The water will not go through the pod to make the coffee. If you remove the pod then the water flows. If you want tea the water goes through with no problem. We tried the vinegar but that didn't work...

This sounds like the pin used to puncture the K-Cup is clogged with something...

since a K-Cup is not used when making conventional Tea, this sounds like you need to remove the k-cup holder, which, by the way is a 2 piece unit on the B70 models... and I believe is the same for yours...
the lower third of the k-cup holder snaps off... revealing a better look at the Piercing Pin.

Looking at the sharp pin inside the holder, you should notice that it IS hollow... and you need a metal... not plastic coated paper clip and get it through the piercing needle.

I think that will do it...
