Question about Hobart Welders 500433 Champion? 10,000 All-in-One 10,000-Watt Generator
For two seconds then loses it on weld leads and the same on the ac outlets. Its been raining on it uncovered for two days...could it be a temporary short fixed by drying it out or what could it be? Its a new machine (under one year) and only has 38 hours on it. I got it new.If i turn it off then back on it again gives power for the same about two seconds ( about the time it takes to reach full rpms.) Please help.I used it in the morning and it was fine, but when it started raining again, suddenly this problem occured.I loosened the front panel and blew off the circuit board with my air chuck, but it didn't help. I checked the voltage at the main brushes with it running, and it had power for the same couple of seconds, then dropped to 0 right there at the brushes.
Replace your berrings in the drive its probly as the rpms rise the centrifical force pushes the brushes against the wall causing it to short
