Question about Plantronics Voyager Legend

Open Question

Keeps losing connection, also there is no prompting voice for voice dialing

Problem #1 - The connection keeps disconnecting from the phone in the middle of conversations and I have to hold the button in again to get the connection back several times during a call. It is getting to be very annoying.___ Problem #2 is sometimes it has the voice prompts for voice dialing and then other times it doesn't. This is happening more and more often. It is also very annoying because I use this quite often when I am driving as these smart phones are not user friendly when it comes to driving and dialing. I have hooked my headset into my computer and did the update for it a few weeks ago and it is still not working right. For the kind of money these things cost they should work a lot longer than this model is seeming to work. When I first got it I was thrilled with it. One of the best I have owned so far as far as clarity and noise reduction but it is becoming a hassle to use and it's not that old. Thank you for any help that you can give...SAM

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Check that the MIC is muted in the volume control but not in the recording settings. This could just be feedback.

SOURCE: Keeps Disconnecting

Try and re-pair your device with your phone. Here is a quick run down if you don't know.

First, remove the device from your phone's bluetooth list.

Second, and this works for Explorer Series: 220,320, 330, 340, 350 Begin with the headset turned off. Press and hold down the silver call control button in for 6-10 seconds. The light will flash blue first. Continue to hold the button down then release the button when the indicator light starts flashing red then blue. This will place your device back in discovery mode.

Third, use your phone to search for new devices and add it back to the list.

FYI- ALL listed models passkeys are 0000. (4 zeros)

If this doesn't help the only advice I have for you is 1. submit a help request to Plantronics web site or 2. Get a new device.

SOURCE: Loss of connection

Make sure it is fully charged... if it is and still does it then most likely a short or weak battery as stated in comments.

How do I use voice dialing

Voice dialing with the Discovery 925 should be just as easy as pressing the "call control button" for a couple of seconds and it usually prompts your phone to ask for a command. However please keep in mind that the cell phone (and service) must be capable of voice dialing, also voice dialing and voice recognition on a cell phone are two totally different things. Sometimes those are misconstrued.

Unable to leave voice mail, says good-bye

I don't think the voice mail is going bad.

On my 4424D+, I can turn off voice mail.
I use this feature when I'm gone for an extended period of time so I don't come back to 100 VMs.

Dial into your voice mail.
Choose the prompt for Call Answer Mode. (Option 8 on my phone.)
Then choose the prompt for Record Mode. (Option 1 for me.) This allows callers to record voice mails on your line.

Need to find out how to set up caller id on supertooth 3

Hi Kazgear,

Voice Dial:
Important: Be sure your phone supports the voice dialing function and that it is activated. Record at least one voice tag. (Please refer to the instructions in your phone’s user manual.) Note: Voice dialing entries must be stored in the phone’s memory, not on the SIM card!
1. Press the Accept Button (1) for 1 second.
2. A voice dial beep will be heard on the kit to prompt the user to say the voice
tag of the contact to call.
3. Say the voice tag exactly as how you recorded it.
4. The voice will be played back to you, and then the phone will dial the number automatically.

Her's a .pdf file of the user manual, which you can save to your computer:

My Razr will only accept calls, voice dial and voice record keep looping.

Your phone is water damaged. It may help to let it dry out further, but most likely it is beyond help. You could sell it for parts on eBay. People will buy water damaged phones on there too.
