Question about SanDisk Sansa e200 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Having issues Ok first, I deleted all of the music on the MP3 player because songs that I was adding to it were not showing up on the playlist. So then I try to reload all of the songs with hope that the songs will show up. When you look at "info" it says I have 500 songs, but the counter that tells you what number the song you are hearing in the list is says 478. Where are the other songs?! on top of all that I unplugged it after retransfering the music and it apparently wasn't done "writing" because it continued to say "writing" sevral seconds After it was unplugged. which in turn when you went to listen to the songs, the title of one song would show but a completely different song would play!! WTF!! So I have now deleted all of the songs from the music folder for the MP3 while it's connected, but it still has 1 song that is a "ghost" on it that is a "bad track" How do I resolve this and start over from scratch????

Re: Having issues

This problem is well known for mp3 players the solution is to do player updates.

If that doesn't work format your mp3 player by going on to the software you tranfer songs to the payer with and formatting from there (not deleting the songs) do it the correct way which should work.

If there isn't a format option on the software go to "My Computer", look for the device on there preferably called "Removable device" make sure it's the mp3 player right click on it and click "Format", once format is complete do player updates then use it as you would and see if the problem has be fixed.

Good luck. Hope my solution helped.

How to make a Playlist --- Listen to the song you want to add to a Playlist. While the song is playing, press & HOLD the [MENU] button for a couple of seconds. Another screen will appear with the following options. 1. Music Playback -- Normal / Random 2. Select EQ 3. Lyric Display -- Enable / Off 4. Add to MyList 5. Delete the File Move to #4 and press the [SELECT] button. Playlists will appear. Choose which one you want to add songs to and press the [SELECT] button. A check-mark will appear, meaning song has been added to PlayList. Press [MENU] button to get out. To DELETE songs from PlayList --- Go to options list when you first enter Music file and scroll down to 'My Music List'. Press [SELECT] button, Highlight the PlayList you want to delete songs from and press [SELECT] button. Highlight the song you want to delete, press and HOLD the [MENU] button for the delete screen to appear. 2 options on that screen - OK & Cancel Hope this helps Andrew

Delete all songs

Automatically adding and removing songs and playlistsWhen iPod is set to automatically sync all music with iTunes (default setting), songs and playlists that are added or deleted from your iTunes Library will also be added or deleted from your iPod when the iPod is connected and synced with iTunes. If your iPod is set to only sync certain playlists automatically, songs are added or removed from the iPod when they are added or removed from the playlists in iTunes that are synced to iPod1. For more information about automatic syncing with iPod, see the iPod Tutorials and this article.

Philips GoGear: delete music from library & are there any Unicode

Here's the deal:
Open the Philips Device Manager that came with the install cd, and do a Repair - this will erase everything so you can start over from scratch. This will also take care of your squares issue.

No dice on the playlist issue - sorry.

Next, you have to disable the auto sync feature in Windows Media Player to prevent it from auto-loading all of those songs/files that you don't want. by opening Windows Media Player, highlighting the Sync tab, clicking on the little black arrow to bring down the drop-down menu, clicking on "Set Up Sync" (make sure your mp3 player is connected to computer, or this option will not appear), and unchecking the box that says "automatically sync files to my device". This will give you manual sync instead.

Adding Music To My Sansa e250

I never use Windows Media to add music to my sansa... If you want all music to show up click on my computer and then click on the icon for your sansa. there may be a folder that says music but if not it is a hidden folder. if this is so you must go to tools, then folder options, and then the tab that says view. under this will be an option that says hidden files and folders and click show hiden fles and folders and OK. this should allow you to see the music folder. from here on you can just copy and paste all files.
