Disconnect the subs from the amp and check to see if the amp will turn on and stay on-check the subs to see if they are blown with a different source try a pair or a single sub that you know works fine on the amp and see if it plays-this should tell you whether your amp is fried or your subs are roasted

Cant figure out my car audio problems!!!!!

There are a couple of tests you can perform. I'd first recommend checking the shield ground. You'll need an ohm meter. The details can be found on the following page.

RCA shield ground test

You can also test the output with the multimeter. Set the multimeter to AC volts. If it's not an auto-ranging meter, set it to a voltage range of ~2v AC. Disconnect the RCA cables from the head unit. Touch one meter probe to the outer ring of the head unit's RCA jack. Touch the other probe to the metal contact in the center of the RCA jack. With the head unit near full volume and a clean signal source, you should read at least one volt on musical peaks. If you have a bass disc or a test tone disc (~60hz sine wave), use those.

My subwoofer doesnt work

you mean that the SUBWOOFERS connected to the amp cuts off and come back on randomly?? did you bring the SUBS level to a high volume ? i suggest to check first the value of the speaker (ex. 4 , 8 , 16 ohms ) matches the same value with the amp . second , hows the subs connected , in series ? or parallel . you will need a multimeter for this task .

Short Curcit?

the amp have an input harness? those can go bad, or maybe line level inputs are loose. If its not just a loose connection on one of the amps inputs (speaker, line, or power) leading to the circuit board( which could easily be soldered back to the corcuit board), than your looking at an integrated circuit problem- not easy to fix.

Car sound system. only sub is giving off sound. other 4 speakers dont work at all

Could be bad outputs from the back of your head unit or also could be bad rca cables. Make sure the amp is on and powered.

Subwoofer works at high volume, doesnt work at low volume

You had the settings set incorrectly and overdrove it. The voice coil leads are burn't open. If you look at the little flexible braids by the terminals I'll bet they are black/brown and maybe even burn't in half. It's toast.
