1. if you choose windows vista instead of xp you can solve this issue. the drivers are available for vista only. visit www.hp.com for further proceedings.
else
2. when you use xp the drivers must be updated from device manager. if You give the installed location of the specific drivers you can easily get what u need.....

I have a Compaq C707tu laptop.. i installed the sound card drivers.. and they are working fine... but when i connect my headphones to my laptop.. icant hear sound through the head phones... the sound still comes from the laptop speakers.. why is this... i did not have this kind of problem with VISTA
