Question about Maytag Neptune MAH7500A Front Load Washer

Shakes on spin cycle

Machine shakes badly on spin cycle. I have leveled it many times. I took apart front and top. Found 2 springs in front and 2 struts in rear. When I push down on drum it moves very easy almost to easy. Would bad struts cause this problem?

Yes bad struts can cause this problem also if you have it on carpet you would be better off cutting a piece of plywood for it to sit on as it will shake when sitting on carpet most of the time

The drum shakes violently and is very loud during spin cycle

There are 2 shock absorbers/springs attached to the drum. If one of them breaks it will cause a loud banging noise when you wash heavy loads. This is an easy fix. The part is about $22.00 and it is accessed throught the front bottom panel.

Drum shakes during spin cycle

I have a 7 year old duet washer. It started to shake during the spin cycle. It is level and the shocks and springs holding the drum are working. When the washer gets to the spin cycle, it is apparent that the drum is off center.
I tore the machine apart and found that there is a bracket at the back of the drum. This bracket sits in water so it was covered in slime. I found several large cracks in the bracket. Once these cracks occur, there is now way the drum can spin correctly. The bracket is welded to the back of the drum, so it has to be completely replaced.
What a poor design. I would guess that many, many other people will be seeing the same problem within a couple years. I was lucky in that I did not pay for a repairman to try to fix it.

Washer shakes on spin cycle

2 possible causes 1 cleanout filter and check water is pumping out properly before spinning

2 check the suspension legs at the base of the tub for wear or damage.

Kenmore washer series 70 shakes wildly during spin during cycle

I have the same kenmore and have experience this before. It is unbalanced. Get a spirit level to check for balance. To rebalance, empty the washer (so it's not heavy), lean over the washer and grab the back, tilt it forward and the auto balancing legs should reposition themselves. Re-check for balance using the spirit level. If still out, adjust the front feet of the washer by screwing the legs up or down (using a wrench). This will cure the problem (unless you have a very unbalanced load of towels for instance). Good luck

WASHING MACHINE

There could be a couple of reasons for this. When this occurs, look to see if the load is evenly distributed around the circumference of the tub. If not, redistribute and continue with spin cycle. The machine may not be level. Check to ensure that the machine's leveling legs are making contact with the floor and that there is no movement when you attempt to rock the machine. If the unit is sitting on a soft floor, this could happen from time to time.

Bad shacking during the spin cycle

Remove top of machine and check the centralising springs are still attatched. If springs ok tilt machine against the wall after unplugging from the wall socket and check the shock absorbers. One of them could have jumped out of the guides. If shockies are ok, check the spider for cracks/breaks. The spider is the cast part that holds the outside drum in place. To check this you will have to remove the back plate.
