Blown vacuum fuse?
Sounds like you got a clog in the hose, which depleted the suction. After getting clogged the motor was working overtime and burned up. If your vacuum is still under warranty you should bring it to a warranty repair center to be fixed. Changing a motor in a vacuum is almost as expensive as buying a new vacuum cleaner. So if your vacuum is out of warranty I think you should probably buy a new one.
