How to adjust balance control on Marantz sr66 receiver?

As you rotate the control, you should feel a "notch" at dead center where left and right speakers are balanced. If channels are not balanced, you will have to rotate the control either left or right of center.

Receiver channel volume not identical

Remote controls normally do not adjust stereo volume levels independently, and I will assume that the problem is present on ALL input settings (tuner, CD, etc.). Check "balance" control settings, speakers and speaker wires for possible problems. Balance control at 12:00? Inspecting speaker wires and speakers do not reveal problems? Have you swapped speakers to see if problem reverses? Try this "process of elimination" and hopefully you'll ID the problem.

How do I adjust Left-Right speaker balance on Sony MHC-771 Shelf System? My speakers are mounted the way that I am closer to one of them and I need to compensate for that. Thanks Tom

If you have balance controls for each speaker decrease the vol. to the one closest to you. If you do not have separate balance controls , the one closest to you must be muffled so that the sound will be absorbed and will not sound as loud as the other speaker.

Packer bell speaker balance

That speaker is probably broken. But to be sure it's not an audio setting that is off, try this.

Click Start/Control Panel and look for Audio or Sound and open it. Adjust the Wave Balance by making sure it is in the middle. If it is to the left or right one of the speakers will not have sound.

You can also get to the audio sound properties by clicking on the megaphone at the bottom right near the time.

To make sure the speaker is not broken just plug it up to another computer.

Help on ajusting the speakers

If you have the factory stereo, push in the power button with the stereo on, and then turn it to adjust the balance between left and right. Then you can return it to the normal position. Then PULL out the same knob and when you turn it you will adjust the "fade" between front and rear speakers.
