Question about Sony VAIO Notebook
Sony VAIO Notebook Computer DC19.5V - started up the laptop and clicked onto my name, the box came up for my password I typed it in and it would not accept it. Help - can't use the laptop
Is it Windows XP Home or Pro?
If so, shutdown the laptop, turn power on, and after the Sony splash goes away tap the F8 button several times until you see menu come up. Select the first option "Safe Mode". Allow the computer to boot to safe mode. It may have you select a user to log into, you need to select Admin. Provided there is no password to the Admin account, login and goto control panel. Under control panel select the Users icon, once that windows has come up, select the user acct that has the bad password, and select Remove Password. That will remove the password to that account.
Hope this helps you. Please rate my solution.
