I have a Sony 32'' T.V. and it has started blinking a black screen, about 12 times in a row, then stops for a few minutes then does it again. Would my picture tube be going? Can you please let me know?? Could it be coincidental, I recently changed to digital??
Thank you very much for your response. -Claire
Picture tubes do not "go out" by going black: Your TV has a power heat-related issue. It is trying to come on but, the protection circuit is preventing it.
As; opening it to dust it, is dangerous; I suggest you take it to a good tv shop.
