Question about Wacom Intuos3 6x11 Tablet PC

1 Answer

There doesn't seem to be any information on unplugging Intuos 3 from my computer usb port. Will I create any issues if I just reach over and unplug it while the computer is running or off?

Can i transfer my pictures from the gallery on my tablet to a flash drive

Yes, but it takes several steps to transfer pics from your tablet to a flash drive.

There are two ways of accessing tablet files: 1) wireless access which requires a sync app on your tablet and PC software of the same app type. One such app for sync between Android (any) to/from PC software is Cheetah Sync:

Alternatively, you can use ES File Explorer's Network/LAN/Cloud/FTP functions to share files between your Android phone/tablet and your PC via secure Wifi:

or 2) wired via the USB charging cable, which I will explain in more detail:

Plug your table to your PC using the Samsung charger cable that doubles as a data transfer cable when you remove the USB plug from the wall charger cube and plug it to the USB port on your PC.
Your PC should read your tablet as an external drive: Open "My Computer" and double-click the tablet drive icon>search your subfolders for your pictures. Highlight your picture files and either copy and paste or drag and drop (different way of copy/paste) to your desktop (or desired location), copies will be transferred but not moved from the tablet unless you "cut and paste" from your table to PC to clear out your tablet and make more space. When done, unplug your tablet cable from the PC. Plug in your flash drive to the available USB port: access the flash drive icon on My Computer. Drag and drop or copy and paste picture files to your flash drive.

Why my computer can't detect my galaxy tab

There's several things that could be the cause here. I'm going to assume that you're plugging the tablet into the PCs USB port with the standard charging/data cable that came with your tablet.

Easy Solutions:
  1. You might have a bad cable. Try a different cable, if you have one.
  2. Your USB port might be bad - try plugging into a different USB port. If you're plugged into the front of the PC, try the ones on the back. Also try plugging a different device into the USB port that you were having trouble with - does the other device work in that port? If so, your USB port is OK.
  3. Go into the Settings app on your tablet. Select Storage and tap the menu (three dots in the upper right corner). Select USB Computer Connection from the menu. There will be two choices here: Media Device (MTP) and Camera (PTP). Try unchecking whatever one is checked and checking the other one. Unplug your tablet and plug it back into the PC.
More Challenging Solutions:
  1. You might not have the proper drivers for your PC to recognize your tablet. Samsung makes a software package for your PC to communicate with your PC called Kies. You can download Kies here: Download it and install it. Then plug your tablet into your PC and it should find it.
  2. There are other ways to transfer files between your PC and your tablet, some of them are really easy, some not so much. The easiest is the Dropbox app. Download the app from the Google Play store - it is free. Create a free account and sign in. Then on your PC go to and download their free Windows program. Install it and sign in with the same account info that you used on your tablet. This creates a shared space out on the Internet. Anything that you put in your dropbox folder will automatically get put in your dropbox folder on your PC. On your tablet you can look at what is in the dropbox folder and choose whether or not you want to copy it to your tablet. You can also upload files from your tablet to the dropbox folder (automatically putting them on your PC).
  3. Another way to transfer things between your tablet and your PC is the AirDroid app. You can download it from the Google Play store - it is free. When you use it on your tablet, it will give you a web address on your local WiFi. Go over to your PC and open a browser, go to that address and you can communicate directly with your tablet over WiFi. You can copy files, add and delete thigns, and all sorts of other functions. AirDroid is very useful.

Off usb mass storage

Unplugging it should disable this on the tablet. Also a quick fix would be to reboot the tablet.

My Archos 101 tablet's full sized USB port doesn't acknowledge my stick drives. It did but now doesn't. I plugged a hub in and it lights up but the tablet still does not recognize the stick drive.

This seems to be a widespread problem with the Archos 101 tablet. There have been 2 firmware updates since the problem was first reported, and neither seems to have fixed the issue for anybody, which strongly suggests that it is a hardware issue, in which case you'll need to do an RMA. I recommend contacting the retailer you purchased through so you can get a replacement unit or a refund.

Scrolling problem?

Unplug usb, reinstall driver ,plug usb back. Or restart computer. I have the same annoying problem. It's the only solution i found.

It's nice having that kind of problem when clients are next to you, and you have to crawl under your desk to unplug the usb, and re-install everything. Makes it totally solvable.!

Hope they fix that problem with new drivers!!
