its the mixing slide in there its stuck u can take it apart at the handle it pulls out shake it if it doesnt move its bad. what happens is over time sediment gets in there and seazes it up. if you take it apart and its not stuck then its ur mixing valve on your boiler is bad good luck

Try draining the system and apply air pressure (min 30psi) to each faucet. Open other hot water faucets to allow pressure to vent. Next try draining and cleaning the hot water tank.

Hello. No Poltergeist involved! These valves have an anti scald feature. I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with your particular handle type so I've included a link to Moens site. That is a type where the water is mixed inside the valve and the valve has gotten worn or loose inside. Replace it or take it apart to see what isn't working properly.
