My Toshiba Satellite P55t-A5202 won't download anything from the store

I have tried to download Taptiles, but it stayed on pending until the next day, where an error had occurred. Now, I am trying to download Doodle God Blitz, but it is still on pending. it started "downloading" yesterday, but it still says pending, even if I shut it down to download. It won't download Roblox off the internet either. I saved it and when I click "run", it opens up the webpage...but I cant play any gamees.

SOURCE: Toshiba Satellite laptop boots up but shuts down on its own very shortly

Hi JOJO0803,

Based from the error message you're getting it sounds to me that your problem there is not software related but is more hardware in nature.Since you're getting a message "disk read error occurred IDE#0" this pertains to a problem with the hard drive itself. It's possible that your hard drive developed bad sectors or errors on the disc itself.

So to be sure I would recommend that you run the hardware diagnostics for your laptop computer especially the one for the hard drive since you're getting this message. If the hard drive fails the test or any other part fails in the test, contact your techsupport and ask for replacement parts if your PC is still under warranty. Otherwise you may have to buy parts for your laptop.

If the hard drive tests passed and all the other hardware tests also passed then you may proceed to troubeshoot the software using the Windows XP Home CD. Boot from the WinXP Home CD, and you get to the setup screen, choose "R" for recovery console and then on the prompt type "CHKDSK /R" let it run, it may take a while. afterwards it will bring you back to the prompt then type EXIT and it will reboot the system, see if that fixes the problem. Worst case scenario you may have to format then reinstall Windows XP again to fix this problem.

Hope this helps!

Peace! :)

Remove battery p55t-a5202

after you turn it off, unplug the adapter, close the display and turn it over. You will want to have a small jeweler's flat blade screwdriver, or similar, to pry out the 14 small rubber plugs from the screw holes. Then you'll need a #1 Phillip's-head screwdriver to remove the 14 screws. Carefully separate the bottom cover. There you will see the battery. It is plugged into J6001. It is held in by 4 screws and some wires that are taped/dressed to it.

I am having issues with my Toshiba p55t-a5202 15.6 in laptop. I did a refresh on it yesterday and when I turned it on today it's just a black screen that says my pc will restart in two days to finish...

Check the date and time. If it has downloaded some updates and then on re boot they will install. If the date is wrong, it may wait for the correct date. Or you may have an odd virus.

Toshiba satellite p55t-a5202 laptop hibernates then wont turn on

I have had the same problem with my toshiba p55t-a5202 from best buy took it in 2xs then was without a comp for weeks. The 3rd time I just took out 14 screws on bottom(do not loose them) carefully removed bottom cover (push in and up at sides to remove) then found battery. I followed the wires to the middle slightly larger white plug. Then took a very small screw diver and pushed down gently in the flat spot while pulling gently to disconnect the plug. The side lights went out. Then pluged it back in the same way I took it out. I put all screws back on the bottom cover. Pluged it back in and turned it on and whallaa! My lap top was working and I didn't have to be without it for weeks!! I like this comp but will NEVER buy another one with an internal battery. I guess til the next time it not responsive! Ugh! Goodluck!
