Dvd player plays all movies but one, thought it was the dvd

Dvd player plays all movies but one, thought is was the dvd so i went and purchased another copy and it also does the same thing, the color goes from light to dark and gets all kinds of static lines thru it

If you bought both copies of the dvd in question from the same place, it could be a bad batch. If the player is playing every other disk you try to play with no problem, then it isn't the dvd player that's causing the current problem.

How to play DVD on Hp?


Is the movie a store purchased movie or is it a movie that someone copied and gave to you? Computers sometimes have problems reading or playing a dvd or cd that someone else made and gave to you. Try a store purchased music cd or store purchased movie dvd and see if the player plays it.

Dvd player not working says error but will play movies like block buster movies if u cant answer that question .. just tell me what kind of movies its compatible with for i can make them myself


dvd player will only play movies for the COUNTRY in which you purchased it. There is no way to purchase a system or configure a system to play ALL MEDIA FOR ALL COUNTRIES. The country codes are specific and each country wants to prevent any other country from playing their dvds music, etc.

Toshiba's and JVC's are the harder ones to do

I use a Phillips myself as it is not only cheaper but has much more going for it than many of the higher end units. i throw anything at it and it just plays

The older the unit that harder it is to do the region free thing with.
I let my EX have the panasonic (big grin)

If you cant find a fix then look at the codes available for cheaper brands and how easy it is to do it before you purchase one.

No longer plays color picture


Try the settings for "pal - ntsc - cvbs" video formats, if the tv and dvd aren't set the same, then this can cause the problem(usually with distortion to picture, depending on how it's mis-matched)

Dvd stopped playing in the middle of a movie...

Unfortunately, if the player will no longer read any commercial dvd that you attempt to play, the unit is defective and needs to be replaced. Hopefully, since it's brand new, you still have the receipt and can return it to the retailer for an exchange or refund. The unit has a 90 day warranty from the date of purchase. You would need the receipt in order to receive a warranty exchange.

Will not play blu-ray disc's


Are you able to play other discs on your player? Did you get your discs from a reputable distributor? and not at a flee market? Could be that your discs aren't giving the proper signals.

If it is a blue ray, you need a blue ray dvd player.
