Insyde is a UEFI manufacturer which is essentially the the program that boots your computer for Windows to take over. If it gets stuck in that screen, it usually means that it keeps trying to start the hard drive to load off of that, but the hard drive isn't responding.

When it does it putting your ear up to the laptop can yield a quick judgement. If you hear a repetitive spin up, spin down cycle, or clicking noises, it's not a good sign at all. I would then recommend backing up any files you do not want to lose and get the hard drive replaced.

Keeps shutting down and takes several trys to start again only to shut down later

If the computer is overheating it will shut down to save the hardware from heat damage, the temp is pre set. It may get hot, due to air flow in a minute or and hour. What does the "screen comes up says problem " say? Check the fan and vents for dust and clean, improve air flow around bottom vents and side vents. Perhaps a Laptop Cooler? When the computer shuts down unepectedly, the computer see it as a crash and will load in that option screen. Run a 'Check Disk" on the OS drive buy opening computer in start menu, right click the drive with the OS (C), open properties, Tools, Check now, choose all options, follow instructions, reboot.

I had a shop put a motor in my jeep. It was there for about three mos. I finally went and got it last week. It won,t start. I have finished hooking every thing up.Now when you try to start it the motor...

sounds like it was not wired properly-try running a wire from the positive side of the battery to the positive side of the coil, see if it runs-if so, you need to look at how the ignition switch was hooked up.

When my wow pad boots up it goes thru the infotec screen to a lite blue screen it cannot find E:/ to restore or anything it just stays on the blue screen.

Hi, maybe you can take a try of this rescue program called BootSuite. I came across similar blue screen situaiton on my HP laptop (win 7) and it helped me get rid of it and rescued my data back. It is an awesome toolkit that includes a boot CD and several other data rescue tools that help get your PC going even if Windows won't start or computer won't boot up at all. Good luck.

GMC Envoy 2004 XUV tailgate won't latch closed. Pressure switch makes latch click but when I go to close it, it does not latch.

Two things happen. One the latch is already latched and therefore it's closed before the gate shut, When you try to close it you might notice that the door don't close all the way. This doe'snt have to be thwe case. the other thing that happens if the lock mechanism is working, You here it click? The latch is stuck as the opener is stuck. You might get lucky and spray the latch with Blaster or other rust buster type penatrant. Theres angles though the opening of the latch . Spray on several angles and repleatly close the door trying to vibrate the Penatrant into the stuck area. Looking at the latch use a screw driver to move the latch and see if you can cycle it though it's positions to see if you can latch and unlatch it with the tool and reopen by pullung the handle ( you may need to try ther inside handle too and even the remote openner if you have one. Ussaaaly you need to push the button twice to open the rear hatch so it may take a few trys and spraying to get it to come loose.. Some vehicals stay closed a long time and stuck is the way to think.. But if the door is used often the linkage inside the door mayh have come off the the latch is closed and the linkage doesn't open the laTCH AND THE THING MANAGED TO GET CLOSED WITHT THE DOOR OPEN.

My computer keeps turning itself off

darrenrobins,
This can be caused by several things. A lot of the time it is a problem with overheating. Some computers come equipted with sort of a poor heatsink/cooling system for the processor, and to make matters worse, if the heatsink is plugged with dust, the processor overheats, and the computer will shut down to minimize the damage to the processor from overheating. If it won't void your warranty, open the case and see if there is a lot of dust inside, and on the heatsink. Get some "canned air" and blow out all of the dust. DO NOT use a vacuum cleaner inside the computer! The possibility of static electricity from a vacuum can kill a motherboard. Other possibilities: Your power supply might be getting bad. Your processor may be getting bad. You could have a virus. Start with cleaning the inside first and see if that rectifies the situation.

Unwanted downloads and Now cannot get rid of it.

This is a nonintrusive advertisement trojan, and it's very difficlut to get rid of. I've got two methods for taking care of it, but I will tell you that many times the first doesn't work and you have to do the second.

First let me tell you why these are so difficult to get rid of. When you get the bug, and it first opens, it puts several other hidden copies of itself in the machine. These copies are dormant, so it hard for your antivirus to find them. If you get rid of the active one, then one or two more open, leaving several more copies behind. Here's where it gets tricky, the it leaves behind the copies in places where most antiviruses do not check, or at least on a regular basis, ie.. picture files, registry files, driver files, screen savers, etc... So, when you think you've gotten rid of it, it comes back in a week or so.

Now the removal methods.
1- Go to filehippo.com and download CCleaner. Run your antivirus, I use AVG, and find it to be veryt good in conjucntion with the CCleaner for this problem. After the full computer scan, empty the virus vault, and run the CCleaner, registry cleaner first, then the regular cleaner. This will take care of it, but it may be temporary. If the pop ups come back in a week or so, then move on to the second.
2- Reformat the hard drive and install a new operating system. Save nothing, anything can have the bug in it infecting the new system, and you back where you started. I've had many machines that the bug came back after step one, or by backing up files and adding them to the new system. This is the only 100% sure fix to this annoying bug.
