Question about Insignia 42" LCD Flat-Panel HDTV
Red snow on insignia 42 in.plasma, changed inputs but no change
You can use the remote to enter into service mode, to fix minor problems and setting problems.
Regarding PDP, PDP means plasma repair panel, and replacing the plasma panel may fix the problem , but first the controller board and the Sustain boards must be tested to ensure they are not cause for the problem.
In your case the TV is faulty , and I do not think you can fix the problem just changing settings in service mode.
What you need to do is contacting a reliable repairer and having the parts tested, if problem is with controller or sustain boards the cost will be about $200, if it is the panel (PDP), probably above $400.
