You didn't specify OS so the best I can do is point you to the general driver page on HP's website:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3285469&taskId=135&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=341571&lang=en&cc=us

Note: If your server is a G2 model then some drivers may be different. Here is the appropriate page in that case:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3285467&taskId=135&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=316545&lang=en&cc=us

No scsi devices detectde

Hello,

I would check 3 things here: Make sure the cable is secured to the drives and motherboard, next is the drives good? You may have to replace them. Finally, you may need to update the drivers on your system.

One more thing....make sure the BIOS is updated and has the SCSI setting correct.
Good Luck

Proliant does not boot from raid controller if external SCSI drive is powered on.

Try to disable boot to other device on your bios setting.

Make sure that your Smart Raid is set on the first boot device.

Press F10 during post boot if you have smartstart installed in the partition. If not, you need to boot from SmartStart CD.

Prolinat ML350 G2 WONT BOOT UP

You have apparently attempted to attach a tape drive or other similar device to a SCSI RAID controller. You will need to get a separate SE SCSI HBA instead. These are pretty cheap, usually just over $100 list from HP.

If you haven't attached anything new, then you should check your cables first and if that doesn't help I would suspect a bad RAID controller.

SCSI Devices not detected when posting ML530 Server.....

Hello,

To get to the BIOS for your server, press F10 at start-up. This should get you there to verify if settings are detecting SCSI devices. If they are there, you may have to reinstall the SCSI controller drivers. Good Luck.

Problem with scsi driver proliant ml 370 for NT4

Are you attempting to boot from the Windows CD?

If you are booting the server from a Windows installation disk and it is unable to detect the hard drive, this typically means the following things.
You need to provide the driver for the RAID controller of the server (this can vary, depending on the version of the ML370 e.g. G4/G5)
If it still cannot detect the hard drive after providing the driver for the RAID controller or if there is not a driver available for NT4, it may not support the controller.
In this case you can remove the RAID set by entering the RAID setup (could be LSI or adaptec). NOTE THIS WILL DESTROY ALL DATA ON THE DISKS THAT ARE A PART OF THIS RAID SET.

I can´t use a serial ata disk in a proliant 350

I know ATA disks are cheaper , but they don't last as long or are less reliable.

I do not recommend mixing SCSI and ATA .

Use one or the other , not both.

Do not try , unless your server is non critical.
If it is non critical , why bother with server , a PC will do as well.

Thanks

There are many configuration settings, although i personally would hunt down an SCSI hard disk, many will fit from many other models just like IDE ones
