Will not heat
That model number's not showing up at the Sears site.
I would suspect that with everything you've said, it's the magnetron.
It should have a magnetron warranty of 5-9 years.
You may want to contact Sears Service to see.
Good luck.

Thank you for your response.
Model No. 565.613090000 seems to work properly (light lights, turntable turns and fan/cooking noise seems normal).
I believe it is either a door switch or the magnatron is gone. I will try and check door switch(s) and if that is not it, I will replace unit.
Thanks again for your reply. I did have an extra "0" in the model number, but it is indeed 565.61309000
This Kenmore has a mfg date of February 2001. I may check the door switch(s), but doubt there is any warranty left for the magnetron.
Looks like I will be making a new purchase. Thank goodness they are less than they used to be.
When you hit Start to
microwave, do the inside light, cooling fan, and turntable all come on?
Any unusual noises? Is
it louder or quieter than usual?
We have a sound clip of what a microwave should sound like when the cooling fan and high voltage section are operating here.
Please reply back with your brand and model number so we can help you.
