    Thanks bankencoa for your response.

It is noisy only when it's on long spin.

Is it noisy when washing, or just when the dryer cycle is on?

If you've just installed it for the first time ensure that transporting locks been removed (big screws under usualy yellow or white plastic covers at the back side of the machine)
Make sure that machine is standing flat on the floor with no swinging whe you try to move it, this can be achieved by adjusting four legs of the machine (one at each corner).
If neither of those helps than you need to identify when the noise appears what machine is doing at that moment. If the noise appears when it's draining, pumping water out, than your machine's pump is wearing out, or if it's noisy when spining (final spin) than bearing of the drum is wearing out.

Update me about your progress

Good Luck

I would say its the dampers on the underside of the drum.
One or both have failed and need to be replaced.

Can hotpoint wd61 be used as just a dryer?

you got to have the drain installed and run a cycle with water in so the the washer has water in so that it can condense the steam and drain it out. hope this helped.

I have an Aquarius WD61 washer/dryer. The door will not now open.

No date on this that I can find. Can you move the dial to a different setting? If so, just move it a fraction to see if it will engage. If it does engage, then you will need a new timer, goes under the dial. If it is a computer panel, try resetting it on another load setting and put it on the final spin.

Godd luck

Door Locked. Cannot open. Washine inside.

Try buttons "dry" & "spin" together for a few seconds. This is the child lock display.

Or press "end of cycle" for over 3 seconds.

Or press "options & select" till the light goes off.

Works for other machines..............And please rate me if helped

Hotpoint vtd20 dryer aquarius - cuts out when overheats

You can get spare parts on line by going to,
www.hotpoint.co.uk
Re your other prob ,it is probably due to a fault with the heater, disconnect the heater and run the dryer .if it does not cut out then your heater needs replacing.

Not drying

the steam gets condensed back to water and pumped away so sometimes draining problems cause poor drying. is the machine plumbed in according to handbook?
also your dryer filter may be blocked but this is not accesable without the dryer box being stripped down.

I have an Hotpoint Aquarius washer dryer WD61.I moved my machine from one house to another in the car but led it on its side. After it was re-installed the washer worked fine until it come to pump the water...

take bottom panel off at back. there is a large diameter hose going from the bottom of the tub to the pump. disconnect this hose at the tub end and you will find the filter inside (carefull, water may come out)
also, put onto drain program and check the pump is actually turning
also
if drain is connected to a spigot on the sink trap, this spigot may be blanked off if iot has never been used
