Toshiba Satellite A45-S120 laptop battery does not charge

Sounds like you need a new battery. Try removing the battery and running the machine on mains power. If that works, you know the charger is ok. Its usual for batteries to deteriorate over a few years, so my money would go on a new one.

How do I replace a Toshiba Satellite A45-S120/40 (PSA40U-06FV3V) Hard Drive? I just need the instructions. Thank you very much, Eladio

There should be a panel or two on the bottom... one will cover the memory, the other should cover the hard drive. Open them up to find the hard drive. Remember to unplug and pull the battery out before you begin.

What hard drive do i buy to replace one in my toshiba a45-s250...how big can i go and how fast? thank you, mike

Hi, You can get any capacity or speed you want, The only thing you need to make sure of is that it is an EIDE drive for laptops and that you have all the drivers and software you will need to reinstall everything back onto your laptop after you install the new drive.

My hard drive is bad - It had windows xp home edition - I want to replace my hard drive and load xp home back on it. it was a 60gb 4200rpm travelstar drive - what can i replace it with?

Any ide 2.5 laptop hard drive will work.

the IDE is the important part, it's the older style. Don't get SATA.

The size of the drive doesn't matter.

Hope this info helps.

When powering on the A45 laptop, green power lite goes to a flashing yellow. The laptop itself will not power up.

Take out the battery and only hook up the ac adaptor and see if you get video that way.

If not then reseat the memory one stick at a time in each slot one at a time. Make sure you try turning on the laptop after each time you reseat the memory.

If your still not getting video after that then take out the hard drive and also take out the dvd drive and if your still not getting video after that then the motherboard is bad and would need to be replaced.
