Dish doesn't appear to have a code for Samsung receivers but try the Sharp codes listed. Here's a link
Same thing for the LG remote
I recommend connecting your sound bar to your dish receiver as well as to the television. Play around with optical and RCA to see which one you prefer the sound of. The television isn't always the best center channel so you might find that you like this set up better with the dish receiver connected directly to the sound bar. Then you can shut of the television speakers. Some people turn the television speakers back on and leave the sound bar off for early morning breakfast news viewing. Not being sure which dish receiver you're using you might have to indicate to it how you wish to output your audio, or all outputs might be outputting at the same time all of the time.

SOURCE: i have a 47" flat
You can try digital audio headphones. Just connect the optical audio out of your tv to the base of the wireless headphones and turn on your headphones. Only problem is that these things are a bit expensive and cost 230$ , but the advantage is it is compatible with any device that has an optical out. Just plug and play
Alternatively you can hook up a receiver with optical in , to the tv's optical out and then connect your headphones to the receiver. This is an inexpensive option but the audio quality would not be that great as its analog audio.

You should set it up with its set-up codes. You might have to check diffierent codes said to Samsung brand audio devices, until you get control the volume to your sound bar. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. One among it has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.
