Try wiggling the recharging cable (when it's plugged into the unit) or pop out the memory card if you've added on. I bought one (big mistake)- the recharging cable part that sticks into the usb port on the unit is so sloppy loose I have to prop it so it doesn't fall out from any vibrations..

Same here, the charger connection is loose so I make sure it's plugged in well at the usb port, set the tablet down gently to ensure it's still charging (look for the tiny blue light on the frame to indicate it's charging). As for the issue of it not powering up but rather staying on the logo only, ours does that occasionally and it seems to be if I press+release the power button too quickly to turn it on (when it's off completely). By pressing + holding the power button for a full second, the unit powers up, shows the logo then proceeds to load with the "rainbow" colours before going to the homescreen. Hope that's all that's wrong with yours + it helps. Sometimes taking the charger out, putting it back in (check for blue light), then powering it up again, holding the power button in for a second or two also helps. Try turning tablet on with AND without the charger in. Our 7" Padpal was on sale $50, dual cameras are low resolution + the processor is mind-numbingly slow so email/internet surfing can be frustrating but it's still a fun, cheap tablet that we use more for games + as an e-reader.

I've more or less resigned myself to the fact that PadPal is a piece of junk but a good paperweight.

How do i fix my polaroid 7" tablet

You'll need to do a factory reset:
1. With the device off, press and hold Volume Up and Power.
2. Release the Power button when you see the logo, but continue to hold Volume Up until the recovery screen appears.
3. Use the Volume buttons to navigate the menu and select wipe data / factory reset. Press Home to choose the selection.
4. Press Volume Up continue.

This will reset you device to factory settings, however anything on your SD card will still remain.
At this point you will need to start fresh as if you just bought the device -- register with your email address, etc.

I think it would help others get a better understanding if you posted what brand tablet you're using. Motorola Zoom, Apple iPad 2, Asus Transformer Prime, etc. It could be a known issue with the particular brand.

Wont start up the screen only displays the android logo i've tried pressing the reset button many times but still the same

Try a master reset:

  • Turn off the unit.
  • Plug the unit into an electrical outlet.
  • Take a microSD card out of the slot. (Empty the microSD card slot.)
  • Press and hold down the power button for a few seconds while pressing and holding down the "Home" (Silver Push Button) button. (Both "Power" and "Home" buttons must be pressed down until he see the phrase "upgrade system activated" in the middle of the screen.
  • Release both buttons once the phrase "upgrade system activated" appears on the screen.
  • Wait until it reboots. You will see the following sentences on the left top corner of the screen: Can not find any update image. Press MENU/KEY_VOLUMEUP key to init SD card, Press BACK/KEY_VOLUMEDOWN key to cancel.
  • Press the "VOLUME UP" key. The volume up key is located at the left side of the unit and the button is closer to the built-in camera than the volume down button.
  • Wait until it finishes making a partition and shut down the system automatically.
  • Once the unit is turned off, your system will be reset to the factory settings. Thus, your previous data are lost at this point.
