No,tv have cold solders inside the tv like vertical IC or around the area.Have a soldering iron,a roll of solders,also know how to do basic soldering?Yes.Take the tv aparts,take a back plastic of the screw driver tabs all around the main pcb,will see the vertical changes,take out the a/c power sourced,resolders those area,will fix this problems.

To make it invisible again the cutoff point for the blue cannon should be adjusted (practically this means - turn a potentiometer) - all it takes is a screwdriver and the necessary knowledge. It sounds that there is some magnet near by TV that is affecting picture tube. Please remove any extra speaker or any thing that has strong magnet inside, unplug TV for 20-30 minutes, replug back in, turn it ON, hope that will solve your TV problem. Thanks.
hi there, you may have a power supply section trouble, check the biggest electrolytic capacitor in the power supply, the rectifier diode, the regulator, and check for some cold solder, do some test, there is a part to be repalced. ty
If these are oth LCD projection have them looked at. The light engine will need to be relaced and has an extended warranty on some models for this case. Call Sony with the serial and model to verify and they can tell you in your area who is a qualified Sony servicer. Circuit City can handle these if they are covered by the light engine warranty.
