Meaning of E02-01 the Error Code:

E02-01 means the Tray 1 cassette lifting motor unit fault. These machines use a lift motor encased in a plastic drive gear casing. Usually something inside the casing breaks, this usually happens in trays that have Ledger or Legal paper installed. The weight of the paper can cause these gear packs to break. Also if the customer loads letter paper in a tray set up for larger paper sizes.

Check that the flag on the back of the tray is still present. • Remove the tray and check for paper behind the tray.
• Check paper falls back causing the gears to break.
• Check cassette Lift Motor connector.
• Replace the Tray 1 lift motor.

Intermittent C-0201 (C0201), C-0202 (C0202) and C-0203 (C0203)paper lift error codes.
Solution
PROBABLE CAUSES:
1.The trail edge paper guide (p/n A03U R756 00) may not be pressed against the paper. This will allow the paper to fall backwards and induce the error code.
Instruct the end user to check the position of the trail edge paper guide whenever paper is loaded into the paper tray.
2. Coupling for the tray lift for Tray 1, Tray 2 or Tray 3 is obstructed or out of alignment causing the tray to not lift.
Inspect the coupler in the back of the machine for paper preventing the pin from seating in the coupler. Check alignment when tray is inserted. If out of
alignment try to adjust the drive to properly align.

An error has occurred while the product was attempting to lift the tray designated by XX. Pull out tray 2 and remove most of the paper. Push the tray into the printer and listen for the lift motor and watch the paper level tab in the front of the tray. If you don't hear the motor and the tab doesn't move, it's possible the printer has a bad lift motor. Remove all the tray 2 paper and look for any paper scraps in the tray. Reinsert the paper and listen for the motor and watch the tab. If it works, great, if not call a tech.

Disconnect the scanner from the Comp, Try 'page counting'. If the papers go through, then you know feed mechanism is okay. if the tray is not lifting, then you have a problem. Use Qumatool software and check if the tray is lifting. If the scanner tray if lifting then the motor is okay, if not, the lifting motor may need a check.If the motor is okay, but tray not lifting means the sensor in the paper tray is faulty. CAUSE: This error message indicates the paper present sensor flag in one of the trays does not detect paper in the tray. This could be caused by one of the following:

• A broken sensor flag
• The tray paper guides being set too close and restricting the paper from being pulled
• The tray is not lifting

SOLUTION: Follow the steps below to determine the cause of a false TRAY X EMPTY message. Tray 2 empty

1. Verify there is paper in the tray.
2. Open the duplex unit access door just above Tray 2 on the front of the printer.
3. Check the black-paper present flag by looking in through the duplex access door.
4. Open and close Tray 2 and observe the tray lifting looking through the duplex unit access door.

The tray lifts but the error is still present

1. Inspect the paper present flag on the PIU located just behind the pickup rollers. Ensure the flags are present and not damaged.
2. Remove the tray guides from the tray and reseat them. Ensure the guides are seated correctly and are in the correct slot for the size paper in the tray. Add paper to the tray and try printing again.
3. Try another known good tray, if available.

The tray does not lift and the error is still present

1. Remove the tray, remove the paper in the tray, and inspect the lifting plate in the tray for damage. Ensure it will lift freely by hand.
2. Try another known good tray if available.

Tray 3 empty

1. Verify there is paper in the tray.
2. Remove Tray 2.
3. Open and close Tray 3 and verify it lifts by observing through the Tray 2 cavity.

The tray lifts but the error is still present

1. Inspect the paper present flag on the PIU located just behind the pickup rollers. Ensure the flags are present and not damaged.
2. Remove the tray guides from the tray and reseat them. Ensure the guides are seated correctly and are in the correct slot for the size paper in the tray. Add paper to the tray and try printing again.

Tray 4 empty

1. Verify there is paper in the tray
2. Open Tray 4 and check for an extra **** of paper stored on the left side of the tray. This can cause the tray to stall while lifting and result in a tray empty message.
3. Defeat the interlock in the vertical transfer unit (VTU). Open and close Tray 4 and watch the tray lift through the VTU door on the lower-right side of the printer.
   NOTE: Follow troubleshooting steps for Trays 2 and 3 when working with the 2 X 500 sheet-input tray.

The tray lifts but the error is still present

1. Check the tray guides to ensure the guides are seated corrected and are in the correct slots for the paper size in the tray.
2. Inspect the paper present sensor for damage.
3. Check for any broken plastic pieces in the tray that may be a broken sensor flag.

The tray does not lift and the error is still present Defeat the VTU interlock on the right side of Tray 4. Open and close Tray 4 and observe the tray lifting.

This error message indicates a lifter malfunction has occurred. When the 2000-sheet input tray (Tray 4) is closed, the paper deck lifts the paper stack until it is just below the feed rollers. Photosensor flag PS34, the paper surface photosensor, determines when the paper stack is lifted into the feed position. When PS34 does not detect paper in the expected time, the printer reports a 66 error. SOLUTION: Follow the steps below to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

1. Turn the printer off, open and close the tray, then turn the printer back on to see if the error clears.
2. Open the drawer and check for extra paper or items stored on the left side of the tray. This will prevent the tray from lifting due to excess weight or blocking the lift of the tray.
3. Remove all the paper from the tray. Remove the tray guides and reseat them. Verify the guides are not bent or broken.
4. Lift the paper deck manually to verify there are no obstructions in the path.
5. Pull the tray out as far as possible and observe the white bushing on the back right side of the tray. If the white bushing is broken, the tray will not lift properly.

lifting error should be describing the part of the paper tray or paper feeding mechanism that physically lifts the paper up in the tray to be fed into the print engine.
does this happen from all trays? describe your jamming if any. 

Try changing the SMPS.

A C0900 is a paper tray problem. Try to check your paper trays and make sure that there is not any paper in the paper tray wrong or doubled up in the paper tray, it may hender the paper tray from liftting in time.

sc 502 is the problem related to tray lift motor .open the backside of the machine ,almost downside u ll find one spring broken .replace tat the tray will start working.
