Question about HP Pavilion dv9000z Notebook
The TV worked perfectly well in the U.S but in Nigeria and India, the tuner cannot pick any signal. Please advise on the best way to proceed. Is it a hardware or software problem? PAL or NTSC problem?
The US uses a different broadcast standard than elsewhere in the world, and it is unlikely the tuner hardware will be able to receive signals properly outside of the USA. The tuner should work when plugged into a cable or satellite feed, though, I bet.
I doubt software can help this problem unless the tuner is using software defined tuning hardware, which is very rare.
