Question about Refrigerators
The unit wil get hot around the edges as designed. if its tripping your ground fault, then remove that circuit. a refrig should not be hooked up thru a ground fault as it will not work with that circuit.

SOURCE: Outside of freezer is hot
HI thanks for the question. the heat around the cabinet and doors is normal . the heat prevents moisture from hitting a cold surface, and turning to water , which would cause water to run down the sides, rusting the hinges. thanks the appliance doc. please rate my answer. thanks.

DO u have frost build up in the freezer ? If so you have a defrost problem.. defrost thermostat, timmer or heaters. You can by-pass the thermostat cut it and tape the wire together and put it into defrost with the timmer by clicking it to the right until it clicks the heater you need to ohm out .. the defrost timmer will be good most of the time if it comes out of defrost ... ref. will start running again when u test the defrost thermostat here is a diagram that may help
