Nicole: Perhaps you should consider speaking to an adult at your school, or church (if you belong to one) if you are unable to talk to one of your parents. Parents/grandparents can sometimes get frustrated and unable to channel their emotions properly. If you feel you are not in a safe situation, please contact your local police and ask for help. Good luck!

Help for my 26 year old granddaugther

do you have photographs of her with her grandparents.

have her relay the stories of what was taking place at the time of the photo, to reinforce the happiness and love that they felt towards each other.

and remind her that the relationship she had with her grandparents cannot be diminished by her father who is clearly a poor excuse for a man

Tip

To all those complaining this post is dated info, you should read the details of...

There are actually a few things you can do for a dinosaur laptop (other than waiting for the asteroid to appear in the sky). Here are my top three suggestions:

  1. Squeeze in as much RAM as possible. If you have a spare SIMM slot, put in the largest-capacity module you can find. You may have to throw away what's already in there--likely a 16MB module--and replace it with a 32MB or 64MB one. Memory was so expensive five years ago that vendors often skimped on it, but now that prices have plummeted, you should pack in as much as possible. (You may also look around for a chip doubler--a SIMM two-for that lets you put a pair of chips where there's only room for a single.)

  2. Get a huge, honking hard drive. You should be able to dig up a compatible 10GB or 20GB drive. What's great is that it'll run at 4,200rpm (compared to the 3,600rpm drive you currently have), which will result in better performance. Save all your precious data, swap the old drive out for the new, and fire it up (crossing your fingers that the OS sees the new drive). Take note: You'll have to preload an operating system onto the new drive or load it on the fly.

  3. Accelerate. You'll want to configure Windows to run your hard disk and graphics card at their maximum speeds.
  • Hard drive: Go to the device manager, select the drive letter, and pick the Settings tab. Check DMA for best performance. For Windows 2000, go into the hard drive's properties, open Disk Properties, and check Write Cache Enabled.

  • Graphics card: On your desktop, right-click and select Properties. Select the Advanced tab, then click the Performance tab. Push the slider all the way to the right.

I have daneker grandmother floor clock that will not stay running.

Hello William Kitchens,

Typically the difference b'twix a serious GRANDFATHER
and the misogynistically dubbed "grandmother" is the case.

Every generation or so.. they need be SERVICED and oiled
(more often if you actually care about them).

If you still have the INSTRUCTIONS it was originally shipped with... therein you will find a section on how to hang the pendulum...
(the part that assures the "tic" & the "toc" are
PERFECTLY BALANCED (TERRIBLY IMPORTANT)).

Don't even think about reading it until you have completely squared & leveled the clock.

My BEST ADVICE... check out yelp for your local clock
CRAFTS-PERSON and get it serviced.

I just want to know if i am related to my stepcousin in any other way?we dont have the same greatgrand fathers.my grandma and his grandpa are stepbrother and sister.each with their own fathers.

That makes you basically "step step" children to each other. Check out this diagram (link below) it might be able to answer your question. http://lifehacker.com/second-cousins-once-removed-and-more-explained-in-1661572056 This chart is a family chart. I think you would be second cousins or cousins once removed, but this may be able to clarify better than me.

How do I hide the cords and electric on the lazy boy recliner two control boxes and cords quite ugly

Hi Mary:
My grandmother would crochet a doily to put over it.
My grandfather would but an empty beer carton over it.
My parents would not care.
My wife would wake me up (I'd be sleeping in the recliner) and tell me to build a cabinet, paint it, and install it so it would hide the controls and she could put a plant on it.
I would put a pillow over it.
Ta Da!

Re: Galleria / Metro Grandfather Clocck. W/ pendulum on lower hanger clock runs slow. W/ pendulum on upper hanger clock runs fast. How can I adjust so it will keep correct time, or should I take it to a...

Most grandfather/grandmother clocks have an adjustable screw on the weight to slightly extend it or shorten it to satisfy the equation of pendulum swing. the shorter the swing (arc distance) the faster the clock, the longer the swing the longer the time. Check to see if you can adjust the weight up or down on the hanger.

Recently my grandmother hit a button and now there is a C 03 always on her screen . How do I remove this?

I assume this means "channel 3." In this case, it is likely that your grandmother pressed the "display" button, which shows all of the relevant information on the screen. To remove this, try hitting the "display" button a few times until it goes off. This may not work, but it's definitely worth a try. Good luck! Der Strom

Granddads 307 radio needs a code

Thanks for reposting all the information from the radio.

Unfortunately this information shows that this radio is a  VIN CODED radio .

This means that it does not use a code but has to have the memory chip (EEPROM) inside the radio, electronically  programmed with the car`s VIN number

This can only be done only your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service.

The cheapest option is usually a local Car Radio / Audio store who will plug in a laptop and programme the EEPROM  with the car`s VIN NUMBER (found in the car documents)

Sorry I could not help any more than this
