That is normal. Set goes through a cool down for about 5 minutes

MY TV HAD GREEN SPOTS AND THEN WENT BLANK. I REPLACED THE LAMP AND NOW WHEN I TURN IT ON THE POWER BUTTON BLINKS GREEN 3 TIMES AND THEN YELLOW 2 TIMES. THE SCREEN STAYS BLANK

The lamp will not fix the green spots. That is due to bad polarizers in the optic block. The lamp is only a white light. http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/PT44LCX65.PDF

According to the manual you are not getting enough airflow which would explain the optic block failure. Make sure the TV has lots of space for air around it and is not inside a cabinet that would overheat it.

I replaced the bulb in my tv. pt44lcx65. everytime i turn on the tv it says i need to reset the bulb timer? how is this done? thank you.

Instructions should be with new lamp. Press and hold volume down on TV front while pressing PLAY, or SPLIT, or PIP on PAN TV remote aimed at little window on TV front near front panel buttons for 5 seconds. Message will appear on screen saying lamptime reset. Press end to exit.

I have a PT44LCX65 panasonic. The tv runs for 4-5 minutes than shuts off. Also have had green spots around screen. called Pan. tech out and they refused to fix spots until T.v. is fixed to stay on....

Hi, thanks anyway. I downloaded the service manual read through most of it and ran through the tests and determined it was the ballast C.B.A. not to mention there was a code flashing which supported this conclusion.

Reset lamp meter panasonic pt44lcx65

Greetings!

It's been a while since I did one of these, but if I remember correctly:

- Turn on the set
- Push volume down on remote and at the same time....
- Push Split on the remote and hold both for 5 seconds

This should do it. The display should reset to "0". If not, try using the PIP button instead of the Split button. I have heard of a few sets using this sequence. Either way, the key is holding both buttons simulataneously for at least five seconds.

Good luck!
Rob
