My tv won't take commands from my remote, it will shut down, but not restart

If you are using a none original remote then not all remote codes will work all the functions. Some codes are designed for different models. So you might have to try several codes before all functions will work. Even then some might still be missing.
If you are using a new genuine remote and it's still playing up. Then either two possibilities can occur. The set has been switched to work a different remote. Or there's a fault in the set that has either effected the remote functions or has caused the functions to cease to operate, even though the remote is sending out the correct signal and the set has received it.

Go to "Network" and click on "network status"; this will tell you if you are connected. If not, scroll down to "network settings" and reconnect from there.

My tv says no signal

Either there is no signal or the signal input you chose on your tv is not correct.
Check the signal cable / turn on your set top box/dvd player/or what ever hooked up to your tv.
If that is OK, proceed with trying different inputs on your tv by pressing input key on your remote commander.

My dvd

He may have reconnected the DVD player to a different connection on the back of TV. If so, you'll need to change the INPUT source using your tv remote control. On the TV remote, there should be a button that says something like INPUT or SOURCE. This button will let the TV display the signal coming through the different jacks on the back of the tv.

Changing Remote Control Code

This Remote is capable of transmitting two control codes; one set
to respond to A code control signals and another set to respond to
B code control signals. This Remote control is preset to send A
code signals because your VCR is initially set to respond to A code
signals. You can easily modify your VCR and the Remote to
respond to B code signals. When using two JVC VCRs, set two
VCRs and their Remotes to different codes, so that you can
operate these VCRs separately.

A
Set remote control code for Remote

A
Press and hold A/B.
B
Press the Number key .2..
C
Press OK, and release A/B.

.
The Remote now can transmit B code control signals.
B
Check remote control code for VCR

Press and hold 4
on the VCR for more than 5 seconds while the
VCR is turned off. The code currently set appears on the display
panel.

C
Change code for VCR

Press any key on the Remote. The VCR now responds to B code
control signals.

.
To set the Remote and the VCR back to A code control signals,
repeat the same procedure as shown above except pressing the
Number key .1”
in step B
of 1
1111.
To control two VCRs with the same Remote

You can control two JVC VCRs by switching the remote control
code for the Remote between A and B (.
step A
AAAA), keeping two
VCRs to different control codes.

.
To change only the remote control code for the Remote, DO
NOT perform steps B
BBBBand C
CCCC.

Doing some searching I came across this, I hope it helps.

From instruction booklet

Power on the control device or VCR and put the tape in.

Press on the SET key continuously, then press the device key you want to set.For example, TV1/2,or VCR1/2,or SAT/CBL or AUX.

Then the LED is on, release the key you press.

Press the SET key again and release it,then you will go into QUICK SEARCH MODE and the LED will flash all the time.

Press the POWER key once at the device,URC22B will send another POWER signal of the next code.(If VCR/AUX, you will press the POWER or PLAY key). Observe if the device works(POWER OFF or PLAY),if it works, go to next step , otherwise repeat the step

whenever you want to leave SEARCH MODE,please press the device key,(TV1/2,or VCR1/2,or SAT/CBL or AUX.)
then the LED is off.

Then check other keys like [CH+/-],[VOL+/-] if they can be controlled. If cant be controlled,go back to the step
