What tool i need for front breaks for break calipers

To reset the calipers, you need a large C-clamp. Use an old brake pad and press the piston back into the caliper. Make sure you have removed about a third of the brake fluid first.

Break caliper pushed forward

You are talking about the piston being pushed out? #1. Put a piece of wood in the caliper and push the brake pedal again.. remove the piston all the way. clean the caliper bore, replace the seal(caliper rebuild kit usually really cheap) carefully reinstall the piston.. sounds like it is either "cocked and stuck or the caliper has a ring of rust at the top of the bore. either way clean and reinstall the piston. possibilty #2. Take a "C" Clamp and force the piston back in.. if you do this take an old pad and put it between the piston and clamp to protect the poston.

2007 brake lights switch not working

Normally, the switch is right over your break pedal. it is a small piece with 2 wires. Disconnect the wire form the switch and try to bridge the contacts f.e. witch an paper clamp. If the break lights goes on, check if the switch is right placed. That means that the break pedal must hit the downside of the switch to press in a small plastic part that opens the contacts inside the switch. Try to move this part in with your fingers and check if it comes out quick if you press down the break pedal. If bridging works, but the reest not, replaces the switch and take care for proper installation

How to replace the needle bar

There are only a few times when you need to change the needle on a sewing machine. One time is when the needle gets dull and it becomes difficult for the needle to pierce the material. Another time would be when, for whatever reason, the needle breaks. A third time would be when you change from sewing one weight of material to another. Whatever the reasons, changing a sewing machine needle takes only a few minutes to do.

these are the steps....

1.
  • Move the power foot control away to prevent accidently pressing it while changing the needle. Turn the hand wheel that is located on the upper right side of the sewing machine. Watch the needle while you are turning the wheel and stop when the needle is as high as it can go. If the thread is still inserted into the needle, pull it out.

  • 2

Find the small clamp that holds the needle in place. It is located on the side of the needle bar. Grasp the clamp and turn it to loosen the needle. You don't want to remove the clamp entirely, just loosen it enough for the needle to be removed.

  • 3

Remove the needle from the needle bar. If you are having difficulty maneuvering to get the needle out, open the needle plate. Be careful when removing a needle, especially if it is broken, to avoid sticking yourself. Set the needle aside, if you are switching out needles to use one for different weight material; otherwise, throw the old needle away.

  • 4

Select the correct size needle. The different sizes are written on the colored end of the needle that fits into the sewing machine. Turn the needle so that the flat side is facing away from you. Slide it into the needle bar until it reaches as far as it can.

  • 5

Hold the needle in place with one hand and grasp the needle clamp with the other hand. Tighten the needle clamp. Do not turn it too hard to avoid breaking it or stripping the threads on the clamp.

  • 6

Clean any thread or fuss that is caught in the needle plate of bobbin case. Turn the hand wheel several times to make sure the needle is securely in place. Thread the needle and continue sewing.

I have an older FR350 nailer. The coil return spring broke. I have the replacement and want to fix it. Do I have to take the whole nail guid assembly off to replace this part!

The best way to replace the spring is to remove the rails entirely. Take closeup photos of the gun from all sides with your digital camera or camera phone to help you with placement of all screws. You will need small clamp, small vicegrips and paperclip or piece of soft wire with small hook bent on one end to temp hold spring in place. With rails in hand check if pusher will slide out front of rails (some rails have a small casting preventing pusher from coming out front ~ remove tailpiece and slide out back ). Locate small screw /nut holding spring in place (keep this side of rails facing you). With new spring in place slide pusher into rails until you can catch the eye of the spring with bent wire at front of rails. While holding wire with vicegrip pull back pusher a few inches and clamp in place with c-clamp. Pull or let in bent wire to align eye of spring to attachment hole and install screw (you can leave bent wire in eye and just break off later. With screw attached break off wire and install rails to gun. Check sliding action of pusher before installing bolts at rear of rails. The pusher on some porter cable guns have plastic sliders that easily break with normal use and should be replaced as needed. Good luck.
