If it is deleting all of the files, you have a virus.

My Mac mail program just stopped working and only show me the color "wheel of death." I can't open mail or read mail...zilch! Gregg

First, ensure you have a fresh and comprehensive backup (preferably Time Machine) of your system and user files before proceeding.Shut down Mail. From your Home folder, navigate to Library/Mail. Move the file Envelope Index to the Desktop. Now start Mail. You should see a message about "upgrading" your mailboxes for a new version. If you have a lot of mail, it will take some time. When it is done, your mailboxes should be available again. If instead of the message Mail immediately starts spinning the wheel again, the problem is probably a damaged preference file. In this case, stop Mail, replace the Envelope Index file back where it was, visit /Library/Preferences, and move the files beginning with "com.apple.mail…" to the Desktop. Again, start Mail and see if this solves the problem. You will probably have to re-establish some of your preference defaults, and perhaps even your email account information.

Unable to start windowns

On your laptop's next boot up hold down F8 and see if you get the option to boot Windows using the 'Last configuration that worked'. That's a simple fix that doesn't take much time. But if it doesn't work, you can also reinstall windows (making sure not to format/erase your current install). This will replace all the vital Windows files while keeping your files and software intact.

Welcome to the world of Vista.
But seriously try checking which programs are set to run at startup and hence in the background. You may find some that you can start manually when you require them instead of taking up system resources.

Erased photos

If you are using a memory card, take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that are available to help you recover your photos. This blog article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.

To recover your files you will need a 2.5" external sata usb hard drive case. Take the hard drive out of your lap top and install it in the case. Plug the USB drive into another computer with enough space to copy all the files you want to save. Once you have all the files backed up that you need format the drive and re install your operating system fresh. Then load all your rescued files back to your laptop with another external USB backup drive. This is the only way and I know it works because I have to do it every time I thrash my laptop running bad cracks. Please take the time to rate this fixya for sharing my secrets for free. If you need more help feel free to ask.

Laptop freezes

"I never shut it off " Hope u r hibernating the laptop.. It seems that ur lap is junked with a lot of registery files and starup files.. so it takes a lot of memory to perform its operations and subsequently it hangs up.. and i hope u have installed norton anti viurs. this antivirus needs a lot of resources. better u install Mcafee. The best thing u can do is to install a fresh copy of windows. this will solve ur problem.. and remember keep the startup items to the min level.
