No sound from DVP-SR760H

I recently bought one of these from new along with a HDMI lead. Once I plugged the DVD player into the TV and changed to the correct output setting I had perfect picture quality but no sound, I've tried changing all the sound settings on the DVD player and TV menus but still no sound. Any suggestions?

This is the manual whereby you can review the many functions of the player.
HDMI being a Complete communication system connects all of the vital components at one time, using one cable format. Thus unless you have a bad cable, the only other issue could be the Player or TV itself. Turn the cable around or try another cable to start with.

The volume control on the remote on our new Sony DVD player DVP SR760H isnt working. We have a goodmans tv model LD3266D. The Sony reference quide doesn't give a compatible code.

That is an off brand of tv. The remote may not support it. You can try following the manual and doing a code search to try and find one that works.

How do i program my sony dvd player dvp.sr200p to work on my philips tv

No special programming is required. Connect the DVD player to the TV using an HDMI cable. Note which input jack you used on the TV (example: HDMI 1 or HDMI 2, etc.) Turn on the DVD player and insert a DVD disc and play it. Turn on the TV and select the input you used to connect the DVD player (example: HDMI 1 or HDMI 2, etc.). You should now see and hear the DVD disc playing. Most settings are pre-set at the factory so everything will work without adjustment. However, both the DVD player and the TV have a Menu where you can adjust settings for picture, sound, etc. if desired.

I have bought a new philips 5.1 speaker 3500W. I need to connect my 5.1 speaker to my sony DVP-NS67P. My 5.1 speaker does not support coaxial or fibre optics. Now,how can I connect my sony dvd player to my...

If the devices have HDMI connections you can pass the 5.1 signals via them. If the Speaker has only one HDMI socket you can get a splitter to feed the picture to the TV and sound to the unit.
If it doesn't have an HDMI then you have bought a pig in a poke.

IT SOUND LIKE THERE SHOULD BE AN INPUT BUTTON ON YOUR CABLE OR T.V REMOTE TRY CHANGING THE INPUT. ALSO TRY PLUGGING DIFFERENT AUDIO AND VIDEO CABLES BETWEEN RECORDER AND TV. ALONG WITH YOUR HDMI.

I just purchased a Sony DVD player...DVP-SR200P. Plugged it in and have no color...movies play in black and white only.

Hello cherylsacket,

Check your cables to your TV. If possible check the various cables to your set. I would suggest using the HDMI cable if your TV has an HDMI input. Remember to power off all devices before connecting your cables. If I may ask which cable are you using to connect between your Tv and the DVD player?

Thank you,

No video, only audio

With the first problem i would check the Scart lead to make sure both ends are pushed all the way in, if the lead is in at an angle that can cause loss of colour or picture, and that none of the pins are bent. Failing that try another Scart lead.
Most DVD players need to have progressive scan enabled in the settings menu, are you using a HDMI lead or Video Composite, (5 phono plugs)? HDMI is the better of the two!
