2007 Mazda CX7 wont crank

Is the car in neutral/park? Not trying to be rude, but this happens more than you can imagine.

1. Test battery. If bad, replace.
2. Turn key while someone else taps on the starter. If it starts, replace the starter. If not....
3. Check starter relay. If it is not clicking, replace it. If it is clicking....
3. Put a pry bar and socket on the crank pulley bolt. If it won't move, you have a locked engine. If it moves....
4. Test the neutral safety switch. If it's OK....
4. Replace the starter.

2002 Mazda Millenia no crank no start cranks by stater not key no fire to plugs or fuel pump

Could have faulty starter relay that provides crank signal voltage to starter when key is turned to start. Assume the no voltage to plugs or fuel pump performed when jumping the starter directly at the starter. Was the key turned to run position? Needs to be or no power to rest of system.

My 2002 b3000 wont turn over is there a fuse or something

you can check for power at the large wire on the starter it should have battery voltage all the time and the small wire on the starter should only have power when someone is trying to start the car. if you have this then the starter is bad.

2002 mazda tribute, when I switch on the igition to start position the starter will not turn over and yes the battery cables are clean and tight. all the lights work and dash panle lights up as well, but...

Hi, if there is no clicking at all, the problem is usually the safety interlock or the starter relay. First, check the 40 amp crank/start fuse to make sure the power is available. Then try starting in neutral or put your foot on the brake and shift thru the gears while holding the key to start. If the interlock is maladjusted, the engine should crank. If this doesn't work, pull out the styarter relay and probe the relay socket with a 12 volt test light. Connect the test light clip to engine ground and probe the socket. There should be one hot terminal with the ignition off (from the start/crank fuse) and 2 hot terminals with the key turned to start (from ignition switch). Next, move the test light clip to battery positive and probe the socket again. With the key turned to start, there should be one terminal that lights the light brightly (interlock signal) and one that lights it dimly (starter solenoid). The outcome of these tests will point to the problem. Please let me know the outcome of these tests if you have not solved the problem by the point of finishing them.

Where is the starter located on a 2002 Mazda

The starter is usually down by the side where the gearbox is , normally should be visible with two-three wires connected to it and two of them being thick. it should be in front of the engine although some models have it in the back. As most Mazda are fitted with Denso starters they are hard to spot because they do not look like Bosch or Hella unit.

I would always replace the gasket when changing a thermostat. Old gaskets usually get damaged during removal and they're cheap anyway.
