My Zen Nano 1GB worked perfectly for a long time, then suddenly I can not download any new music. It still plays perfectly, but when I connect to the computer via USB, it shuts off. Can only turn it on when disconnected, but as soon as I connect it shuts back off. Obviously I can not install any software/firmware if the PC does not recognize.

    Please help

    thanks

There is a setting, I think, under Photo/video settings. VideoOut - set that to OFF or change it. The screen will stay on.

File not found means the songs you are syncing is on a different location in your computer. Try to organize your songs in a folder then drag that folder to iTunes, then sync again..

How can i download songs here?

iPod player from shuffle to nano to Touch to iPad requires iTunes for you to be able to update its content. That includes getting the latest update from Apple to transferring files from your computer down to your player

iTunes can be downloaded here: here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
After it has been installed connect your iPod to your computer and it will download the latest version for your iPod player. From there you can easily transfer your music collection to your iPod. You can create your own playlist via iTunes so that you can organize them based on your taste

The only way to get extra space for more songs when your 8gb Nano is full is to eliminate some of the songs/pictures/files,etc that is on the player. There is no expansion SD card slot on the Nano. You can eliminate some of the songs/pictures,etc. by the following method: Hook up your mp3 player to your computer Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer" When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there. Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
